I think you referred to the wrong person, guys. I asked @gravityfying about it and she told me she doesn’t remember anyone asking her about such before.

 As far as I know, it’s rather @paneyneygirl who was brought to this discussion about su next gens and she has mentioned her reason on her previous post long ago. 

Besides, both of them already have their hands full in working on the cressieverse’s production---and not to mention still have college to deal with at the same time just as I do so an su next gen will just be an additional work for them.

Do you have a Theory about Jasper healing corruption and redemption arc for season 5? (Not semi corruption or anything)

I doubt corruption’s physical effects can be completely erased, so if Jasper’s mind is fully healed, she will probably still retain some monster traits like Centi did–most likely her horns and tail. Whether or not this counts as semi-corruption, only the show can tell us–personally, I’d compare it more to it leaving behind big ugly scars than to still being corrupted as long as the mind’s intact.

Jasper has a good shot at being healed, and could potentially even be the first Gem steven heals of corruption unless the way he learns how is through an arc where a main main character (Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, or himself) corrupts. After Jasper’s mind is restored, a redemption arc would be easy–whether Rose is the one who killed Pink Diamond or not, Steven himself is still not responsible and there’s a fairly good chance that once Jasper understands that Steven isn’t Rose, she’ll stop bothering the Crystal Gems at all and probably even apologize after spending a few episodes going on a journey of self-examination. I doubt she would ever officially join the team and she would definitely never be able to repair her relationship with Lapis after all they’ve been through, but she would at least end up on better terms with them and, if she’s stuck on Earth, potentially even become a noble hero of Earth just as she was seen as a hero of Homeworld.

Whether or not this could happen in season 5, I have no idea.

(For anyone who wants to scream about how Jasper doesn’t deserve redemption or some similar bullshit: Redemption isn’t something you earn, it’s something you do. For example, the Crystal Gems didn’t redeem Peridot–it was only Peridot who redeemed Peridot. If Jasper wants to redeem herself, then she can do so–it’s her choice, not anyone else’s.)
