Ice adolescence movie/ss2 theory rant

feel free to discuss and comment on this as it’s my theories only! My wording could have been weird but I never meant to show attitude or hate towards the character nor saying my assumptions are true! thank u <3 

The movie might not been released due to scrutinizing the animation or possibly, CHANGING THE PLAN. all the weebs know there are more exiting things to dive in deeper, like the next year’s GPF, Viktor’s mental problems & development, new bonds. New opponents and obstacles etc.... there is indeed very much to demonstrate. 

Let’s talk about Viktor first. He is a LIVING LEGEND okay, nothing to complain bout his carrer but is private life & development as a character is complicated. Not only he cannot handle r e j e c t i o n, he cant also deal with other’s problem. (Some may consider Yuuri’s anxiety normal but the fact is that we sometimes normalize and neglect it while the problem should be treated and give some thoughts abt.) The moments Yuri’s kinda made a joke or masked his hurting feelings with reactions like “freezing” when Viktor was being “savage” I felt like my dudes are dumb w their feelings... And idk if Viktor hadfully understood Yuuri’s problem and his AND IF HE WAS READY TO DEAL WITH HIS OWN STUFF ofc with the helping hand of others(sorry I’m not good w analyzing details) THEY WILL WORK IT OUT TOGETHER WONT THEY>>>>>> SHOW ME THAT?>>>>

I did read some analysis of the movie’s poster and teaser too, abt Viktor’s past, so I thought like, what if the movie/ss2 will be a mix/ combination between Viktor’s past career and his next GPF? ID DIE DAMN bc that way we’ll get to see his development and fear, his reconsidering his matters bc there is Yuuri and the gang that’ll help him figure it all out. 

and I FIRMLY BELIEVE THERE WILL BE THE NEXT GPF in the movie bc just looking into his past aint enough HE HAS POTENTIAL PLSPSLPS. and might bc the name is ice adolescence I also predict,,,,, pardon my english, there might possibly be Yuri (and Otabek his homie)’s development too LIKE TEENAGE YEARS MAYBE YURI CAN FIND HIS OWN CLEARER PATH TOO??? bc he got some anger issues too. that;s no general demeanour, maybe he’ll be able to gradually work it out (possibly w Otabek’s assistance)

small 3am rant

yk when... you were joking around but the other was serious... about love. you wanted to flirt and said that “yeah i think ur cool i like you” w/o any further motive and they misunderstood it.

i literally was disgusted of how i fked them up like that. bc of miscommunication. i didn’t like them that much but misleadingly agreed  JUST BC they were crying and you were a ppl pleaser. 

like its a past issue and im gradually getting over it. just wanna say the mystery is unfolding and.... thank u bestie for always here to help me understand, and says that it was brave 4 me to touch an issue that i had always been triggered by it. just.... wanna update. things are complicated, but i am trying to break it down bc all i did in the past was overanalyze.

You know, I’ve figured out what it is that bothers me about most “Three Years Gap” Vegebul fics, even the supposed “good” ones.

It’s the fact that most of these fics treat the events of this gap as when Vegeta FINALLY grew a heart and started liking earth, and when Bulma and Vegeta really started to fall in love- when all of the evidence from the actual canon shows that this is NOT the case, given Vegeta’s entire character arc in the Android/Cell saga. Remember, when he first appears after going Super Saiyan, Vegeta shows no reaction to the possiblity of Bulma and Baby Trunks dying, he openly abuses Future Trunks, and in general does not give any flying frigs about anything other than his own ego. It’s only after Cell kills Trunks does Vegeta even begin to ACKNOWLEDGE his attachment to his family. Heck, Future Bulma is genuinely SHOCKED to hear that Vegeta gave a crap about his family.

To say that he TOTALLY fell in love with Bulma during those three years, just... doesn’t add up. The Three Year Gap wasn’t when they fell in love. It was step ONE to them falling in love, in my opinion, with the Seven Year Gap during the Buu Saga where they REALLY came together as a couple- especially because they almost certainly got married during this time gap (I’m pretty sure it’s by the Buu saga that Bulma and Vegeta start referring to each as spouses, which... is a pretty huge development that you’d think more fanfic authors would want to explore). It also coincides more nicely with Vegeta’s development in canon.

Now, that’s not to say I don’t think there’s anything interesting to EXPLORE during the three year gap. It’s during this time that Bulma and Vegeta did have a pretty significant change in their relationship, enough to permanently change Bulma’s relationship with her long time boyfriend forever. I just don’t think Vegeta and Bulma grew to be LOVERS during this time- I just think their relationship was upgraded to “Friends With Benefits” at BEST. Or... allies with benefits in Vegeta’s case. Which IS a huge development for Vegeta in of itself, because anything that distracts him from training, especially to interact with a weakling earthling, is pretty significant. I just get tired of fanfic writers acting like the full development of the Vegebul relationship took place during this gap, instead of it being only the first stepping stone in Vegeta’s development to actually becoming a decent person and loving his family.

What happened to my imagination..? What happened to the girl who used to adore school, no matter how her grades were? What happened to the girl who used to love creating stories out of her own free will? I can't even remember the transition of me then to me now. Maybe the past me didn't really exist to begin with. Maybe me liking all of that stuff was me just lying to myself, just to make myself seem more like a normal human being. That's it. I was never really happy, just pretending to be for the sake of being a normal kid. So I could fit in with everyone, and try to be accepted. None of that ever helped me for in, but I don't know who else to be. I don't even remember who I was before the depression. I don't remember who I am anymore. I just wanted to be normal, why didn't it work.
