It took a long time but Schneep finally choose. This universe seemed complex enough with a lot of porential. Tho that still could mean that the ego is evil... but he can't make 3 mistakes in a row, right?
A droning, clacking sound took him out of his thoughts. The screen, where the universe's data could be seen before, started to act weird. Dots, lines, wiggly symbols came up, which the machine couldn't recognise. The doctor stared at the screen confused- he programmed every language into it's memory, how could it possibly not know this one? Unless... the symbols started to shorten and repeat. Than only one, desparately flashing again and again, faster and faster. Like a cry for help. Without knowing what he's doing, Henrik pressed the Activate button. Only than he realized, that it might not be the best idea. "What if that was the Sean calling out because the ego... and now I summoned them here..." these kind of thoughts went threw his head while he watched helplessly a puff of smoke appear on the bed. It started to take a shape of a human, billowing like a whisper. With an angry waft it moved upwards, leaving a man behind. He looked like he stepped out of fantasy- leather straps held a piece of fur on his back, a heavy-looking book hung from his belt and he wore a deer antler on his head. On his forehead he had particular markings as well as 3-3 lines on his cheeks. All together he gave off woodoo magican vibes for Henrik, exept that he seemed more "cultured"- his long hair was kept in a ponytail and none of his clothes have seen a speckle.
"Thank you" - he said in a calm, low voice. "For... what?"- his generinc expression made the doctor feel uncomfortable. If he called out for help, how can he be this composed?
"For saving me. You answerd at my help signals, right?"
"Yes but... I didn't know what it was..."
"Doesn't matter. You saved me and I am grateful for that. Now please, tell me where you brought me and how can I get back. To somewhere safer of course."
"Well..." this was the talk that Henrik had not been waiting for. "This is a different universe. I didn't brought you here to save you, but because I need your help."
"Sorry, but I must decline"- the news haven't bothered him much. "I must get back to my universe."
"I can't send you back. Phisically"- the doctor said with a big breath. "You are unfortunately trapped here until this universe is back to normal."
"How is that so?"- the first time his tone changed. Anger coloured it.
"The Sean of this universe is in a coma"- Henrik's voice shook a little. "We need to..."
"How is that my problem?"- the antlered man stood up from the bed. His eyes glowed menacingly.
"This is the main universe"- the doctor hardly, but resolutely looked back. "If it gets destroyed or Sean dies in cause of an other universe, all the other ones will disapear." This made the man think for a moment.
"So the coma your Sean is in is an effect of an other universe?"
"Yes"- he understood quite fast...
"Ugh..."- well fuck, he is not beating around the bush either. "I... The first time I used this machine went wrong and..."
"So it's your fault"- he said distainly.
"Look, I'm trying to fix it..."
"By trapping other egos here? Besides, I guess you don't want to die so of course you are trying."
"Why, do you want to die?"- Henrik started to become angry as well. The last thing he needed was a stranger to throw at his head how much he srewed up. His remorse did it enough. "I absolutely cannot solve this alone and now it is all of our shower of shit."
"Great"- the word sounded more like a spat.
"I at least admit I fucked up! And I ask for help..."- this wasn't a really good point, but he started to break. But he decided he won't beseech.
"What do you need help with?"- the man asked this question with a grossed out face.
"With videos"- Henrik sighed. "If there won't be enough content up, the machine I keep Sean alive with will stop."
"What kind of medical bullshit is in that?"
"In this case, normal treatment doesn't work. It's not just a regular coma..."
"Well"- the man crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Why don't you sit in front of the camera and act?"
"Because they know me. I was in videos, everyone would know it's not Sean. You know what this videoing thing is?"
"We are not cavemen, ars hair"- barked the man a bit huffily. "But I probably look nothing like your Sean, not to mention that I cannot act."
"So I took you for nothing"- Henrik had to sit down. While this was a much better outcome than before, his efforts were still fruitless. "I'm sorry."
"I hope you at least have a room for me, now you've made me stuck"- the man actually felt bad a bit for the doctor, but not enough to be nice. Especially not enough to offer his help.
"Make yourself at home..."
"... Marvin, you'll find empty rooms in the house" he couldn't concentrate on the magician anymore. Everything welled up inside started to shake him into crying. Marvin quietly left the room.
