An odd thing ive been thinking about is like yeah 8 times out of 10 highly sexualized character designs are supposed to appeal to the audience but there are also cases where a highly sexualized design is supposed to cause you discomfort & carries narrative weight & signifies something about expectations and circumstances placed upon a character and i get pissed of SOME times when i see some characters redesigned to be more covered up and esp when they also make them have more "modest" body proportions because sometimes. And get this. Big boobs can be framed in a way that is not inherently sexual
