favorite thing about them: e v e r y t h i n g. His design is rly cool. Also, his given personality(s) makes for a complicated and multi-faceted character; as in, you can play around with what makes him... like that.

least favorite thing about them: When nintendy makes all his lines revolve around beating Leon like it's a personality trait. Though to be fair, I also think 'Leon's eternal rival' is an image he himself built up, if just for the audience. It's part of his showsmanship and social media image. He knows what the crowd likes, so he'll play into it. /me justifying some sht

favorite line: anything not mentioning beating Leon oh my god does he play up that role

brOTP: hghhh leon and piers are good contenders, but my brOTP is Raihan and Gordie! Team E-Boys. They probably collaborate often since their content can mesh, while still maintaining their own brand. They also strike me as the type to send each other the latest fashion trends catering to the other's aesthetics + sending each other memes and a load of nonsense... it's a fun and casual broship. They don't tell each other their troubles much, just in it for fun and laughs.

OTP: lol Piers and Raihan. I know Leon and Raihan is the popular ship here, but hear me out. A theme of sword and shield is passing the torch, and for other characters who can't achieve their dreams: moving on/taking alternate life paths. Hop, Marnie, and Bede can't become champion, so they find another role to fill. Sonia could never catch up to Leon, so she spends a lot of time trying to figure herself out. Raihan can't quite take out Leon, but he takes interest in another guy, who's slowly creeping up to him in strength, and possibly sees him as a rival. I also like to think they have a lot they can learn from each other: Raihan who cares all about his image and carefully crafts his persona, and then Piers who doesn't give two shits of how people see him and wears his heart on his sleeve. Opposites baby....

random headcanon: He says he lives like royalty within the hammerlocke castle which he calls home, complete with a balcony for his flygon, but really it's a small league sanctioned dorm room and he has to run down the hall to the public showers if he needs to do a peepee

unpopular opinion: I'm not a fan of the western fandom's interpretation of him.

fox in assault is................

boring. ik @out-of-this-dimension has said the same thing but... i just... his voice actor did fine but i love the snarkiness and the inflections mike west gives him (and his voice actor in adventures i don't remember his name rn ack). it's probably the most basic version of fox's personality (or lack thereof for assault... so it feels like) there is. he's still got sassy moments and he has a few good lines and i do like the idea of him being more worn out as time goes on but... he just doesn't do anything for me lol
