Have you talked in any detail about your trans Dorian head canon? I've seen you mention it a few times and it sounds intriguing, and I'd like to hear more about it if you don't mind elaborating (You absolutely don't have to I'm just curious and like hearing about these things)

hmm tbh i haven't really because my trans headcanons mostly consist of me pointing at a character that i like and saying they're trans

i do think he transitioned while he was away from his family though. maybe while he was alexius's apprentice. i have other thoughts about his. parents. but i feel nothing but rage whenever i think about them so i'm. not listing them here

what do they carry on them at all times?

whittling knife and whatever his latest little project is, little envelopes to put plant clippings into, and a bare-bones first aid kit with things like poultices, a needle for doing stitches, etc. (modern au this translates to him being the type of person who always has ibuprofen on them in case someone else needs it)

11. are they picky about clothing textures? do they have a favorite type of fabric?

yes, sort of. i don't think he has any one favorite, but he likes light-weight fabrics like cotton and linen, and he also likes. flannel.

12. do they hang on to things for sentimental reasons? if so, what?

yes, and so much stuff that it would be hard to make a list 😅 he keeps birthday and holiday cards and letters people write him, small souvenirs... he's stopped drying flowers every time he's given them but only because bull is bringing stuff in from the yard at least once a week and there just isn't room (they have like. lilacs and blooming fruit trees and a bunch of other flowering plants) 14. do they enjoy interior decorating? what are their sensibilities like there? yes, very much so, but like... okay. he has very 'farmhouse' sort of taste, and i do mean. farmhouse. a place someone's grandma would live. but i have also been trying to make him more obviously coded as moroccan, so my thought has been "that, combined w/ aspects of islamic design". like he was born under the qun but mostly grew up in rural areas in the free marches and learned those ways of crafting, but at the same time, the influences of his tama & the vasthoth they traveled with are Everywhere in the way he dresses/decorates. so there's all kinds of handmade crap like crocheted blankets and quilts, and furniture he made himself, etc. but it's quilts based on islamic tile patterns, and furniture carved in much the same way, etc. etc.
