The Bluebirds
The Bluebird series of World Speed Record holders. Malcolm Campbell won his first world speed record in 1924. His son Donald followed in his footsteps, finally dying in 1967 after having won both land and water speed records multiple times. All of their cars were named Bluebird.
On my travels
Went down south last week with old mate Chris Beecroft, a fellow landscape photgorapher. I’ve been too busy to write this adventurous tale down, but I promise it’s coming soon!!!
Red Moon over Lake Dumbleyung - Western Australia by inefekt69 Via Flickr: I wasn't expecting this when I planned my night so it was an added bonus. As I was packing up I knew the moon was about to rise over the tree line to the east but I was surprised to see that it was bright orange. I quickly took my camera and tripod back out and snapped a few pics. This was about three nights after the blood moon eclipse.

Reproduction of Donald Campbell's X7 racing boat, Bluebird at Dumbleyung.
He broke the world land speed record and the world water speed record in 1964. The only person to have broken both in one year. He broke the WWSR on Lake Dumbleyung, a small farming community in Western Australia.
Fun fact, the Nissan Bluebird was named to remember his achievements.
