Tony always worried that he hadn’t quite rebuilt Dummy right, that he’d lost something ineffable in between the pre-Mandarin and post-Mandarin incarnations. He reacted like the old Dummy, predictably, most of the time, but there’d always been something... magical... in the unpredictable nature of the bot’s mood shifts.

Then, one day, years later, he caught Dummy trying to teach himself to beep the tune to “Friday I’m in love” and he knew. That was dummy.

That was terrifying, in its own special way, but that was definitely Dummy.
