The Twelve Dancing Princesses Sheila Robinson There were a surprising number of proposed Puffin Picture Books that for one reason or another never made it to publication. This beautiful dummy by Sheila Robinson was designed in the immediate post-war years whilst she was a student at the Royal College under Bawden. Sadly it coincided with Allen Lane’s decision at Penguin to jettison all the fiction titles from the Puffin Picture Book list, so it was rejected.
