Returning home Tuesday night after attending the theatre the woman found a large pile of garbage on her front porch. She entered the house and found a girl who had been left to mind a baby huddled in a rear room. From the frightened girl, she learned that a sleigh ride party had passed the house. Three youths jumped from the sleigh and carried garbage tins to the porch. The refuse was dumped to the sound of crashing cans and screams of laughter.
Alone with the child in the house the girl thought the city was being invaded.
Police are investigating and say that if they have any luck, the persons responsible for the garbage dumping won't be likely to give a repeat performance.
