Text and Photos Lawrence Sim The Wacken Metal Battle Canada is part of an international competition where over a hundred bands from across the country battle each other for one to be selected and join over 20 other countries for an international battle of the bands at the world’s largest outdoor metal festival Wacken Open Air, which has been taking place in Wacken, Germany for the last 28 years.

i found a plastic coin in the trash that said “you did good today” last summer i got lyme disease and a sore welled up on my leg it broke while i was at the beach leaking into the sand but at least i got a tan you used to say that the dumpster was the life source for anyone worth knowing but i won’t wrap my wounds in dirtied gauze
