When looking at fantastical architecture I'm occasionally reminded that there's a whole set of people for whom peeing in strange places is an aspirational pursuit. Your setting features a vast twisting spire of iron and bone thrusting into the heart of an endless storm? Your setting likely also features someone whose deepest fantasy is pissing from the top of it.
do mother birds eat their babies' poop so that it doesn't stink up the nest
they don't eat it but they do get rid of it!
most baby birds poop in sort of a ready-made mucous bag called a fecal sac. this keeps it together and makes it safely transportable, like a biological dog poop bag!
the parents just pick it up and fly it a fair distance away, then drop it.
this keeps predators from being able to easily tell where the nest is at by tracking it by the droppings. they also do this with the eggshells for the same reason!
and that's why you sometimes find empty bird eggshells in weird places :)
Hey kids, wanna learn what signs of botulism look like?
Hey guys, did you know that if you ever post a GIF on this website, be it in your own original post or otherwise, you’ll get notified whenever someone finds it via the Tumblr GIF search feature and adds it to a post? I think more people should know about this because there’s always a chance, albeit small, that someone will come across the random GIF of old-timey people clapping and cheering you attached to a funny post about worms making music five years ago and deem it the perfect reaction image for the video of a person pissing inside another person’s asshole they’re about to reblog, which Tumblr will helpfully link directly to you via an incredibly cryptic, very curiosity-inducing notification that says nothing but “tumblruser47266 has added your genre-defying work to a post”.
this is killing me
