It’s making me really really mad that all the posts I see about Tall Girl are romanticizing Jodi’s relationship with the dude who spends the entire movie behaving in *the* most annoying and possessive way even though she repeatedly says no to him. He literally does everything in his power to stop the person she truly wants to be with from being with her, behaving in a completely insidious way out of jealousy. And then all of that is romanticized by the movie itself *and* by fans, and portrayed as love when in reality it’s just toxic over-the-too possessive behavior. He’s been pining after this girl for ages, pursuing her despite her constant rejection and he tells another guy who liked her to stay away from her just so he can be with her when he’s already been told no multiple times. I expected better but somehow with Netflix romcoms I always end up becoming disappointed
pretty in pink (1986) x tall girl (2019)
Okay so this is pretty much like my “to all the boys I’ve loved before” post, except it’s for Tall Girl
Just saying, Dunkleman is 100% better looking than Stig
And he’s also a better guy than Stig
Basically, I think I’m in love with Dunkleman
I mean, who wouldn’t be?
active persistence in the face of rejection isn’t cute. stop it. yes this about tall girl
Okay, but dunkleman from tall girl was gay, and nothing you say can convince me otherwise.
I caught up with the brilliant Barbara Dunkelman at RTX 2017 in Austin. We talked about what weird things she gets from fans, RWBY, meeting fans all over the world, Always Open, her dream guests, the inspiration behind her clothing line, how to survive a convention and the most embarrassing thing she did on stage.
