It’s National Poetry Month in America, and I’ve been challenging myself in the ☂ Little April Sonnets Fest (an Adult Fandom Project in server mini fest) to try as many formats as possible.
I’ve also been doing character studies on Peter 🥲.
Day 23’s format was Duplex:
The Duplicitous Nature of Peter Pettigrew
I wonder about the duplicitous nature of Peter Pettigrew
How he could possibly be the man Potter knew
He was a spy for years and no one knew
They trusted him enough to put their key in his hand
Not knowing that one day he would sever that hand
To raise a man by flesh, bone and blood
That the latter ingredient would be their sons blood
That the bones were relative to a notorious villain
How could anyone think he was not the main villain?
When he gave up a child to the enemy
When he gave up his friends to the enemy
He handed them over to be killed
And when he was caught he knew it was kill or be killed
I wonder about the duplicitous nature of Peter Pettigrew
