Durande and/or Kella: The Disappearance of Dad.
Durande - “Dad’ll be fine, some chump shipwreck isn’t gonna stop him; if he’s not home within the week, I’ll find’em myself!”
Kella - “He’s... not coming back this time... I really hope it was just the shipwreck and not some of his old trouble catching up with him.” She chews on her lowerlip nervously.
Kella and Durande: Some shenanigans when they were growing up.
Kella - “YOU GOT A WHAT TATTOOED ON YOUR ARM?” Her mother shrieked as she walked into the house, a scantily clad dancer draped over the crescent moon now permanently marked on her arm.
“But! but! Dad thought it would look awesome!” She stammered in reply, feeling hurt that her mother did not share the sentiment.
“GAVIN!” Nevienne shouted, rejoined by a distant “Uh oh,” from upstairs in the house. Shortly a window is heard opening and several thuds and a grunt. Kella and her mother look towards the window to see Gavin scampering off into the city proper.

Durande - “Look, son, you can’t keep breaking all of our neighbors barrels.” Gavin shook his head, “Do you know how many of them have come by to give me an earful? All of them!” He throws his hands up in exasperation. He glances over at Nevienne who gives a warm smile and a nod of approval.
“But Dad, the barrel maker promised to give me a cut for every barrel he gets to replace if I go around breaking them!”
Gavin paused, blinking at his son, “How mu-”
“Gavin.” Nevienne stated scoldingly.
“It doesn’t matter how much you still can-”
“20%”
“20%?!?! Maybe I should-”
“GAVIN”
“It’s 20% Nev, come on!”
