Winter dusk in Durro, village in the Boí Valley (Vall de Boí) in the High Pyrenees, Catalonia. This valley is known for its Medieval Romanesque churches, such as the bell tower you can see in this photo. It was built in the 12th century.

Les Falles de Durro, one of the traditional festivities with fire in the Catalan Pyrenees to celebrate the summer solstice. (I explained this tradition in more detail in this previous post).
Durro is the first village to hold this celebration, on June 15th. During the rest of June and until mid July, the rest of villages of the valley will follow.
