Why is a simple scribe from the Mushroom Kingdom capital on an adventure with a Rose Town forester/hunter in the infamous Forest Maze? Stars only know...
(There's gonna be more of the Prince Mallow series of pics; I just took a break from that because (among reasons) I wanted to draw some Toadsonas.)
Dus T., my Toadsona, belongs to me
The Rose Town native whom I'm calling Nut T. 'till their maker says something official belongs to @nintendonut1
Since I recently drew an image with Dus T. featuring some "updated graphics" as it were, I figured I'd draw out a proper "profile pic" of the guy as I draw him nowadays.
As a refresher, Dus T. is a royal scribe of Mushroom Castle, which in this day in age pretty much makes him a glorified archivist and bookkeeper. It's pretty much his job to keep organize and store documentation of recorded Mushroom Kingdom history, of which he keeps both paper and digital copies of everything, each functionally a backup of the other. Sometimes if necessary, he is one of a small number of Toads on castle staff to potentially act as tech support for the computer server and other QOL technology that Gadd Science Inc. had built for Mushroom Castle. While Dus T. enjoys his work, he does have some drawing and writing hobbies on the side.
On a side note, if you're wondering why I've suddenly started giving Dus T. hair, well...funny story; he's kind of always had hair. It was just always hidden under his mushroom cap before. I originally conceived the character so that his hair would show if he took the cap off. But since it's long been established and accepted that Toads' mushroom caps are an organic part of their heads and not a removable cap like early media would sometimes portray them, I figured I'd need to upgrade that design aspect accordingly. I drew (pun unintended) inspiration from Square Enix's Toad NPCs such as Raz and how their hair grows out from between the mushroom and the rest of their head.
A few weeks ago, I finally got to watch Monsters University. So I decided to draw this cute little guy, Squishy Squibbles, making his usual entrance on my Toadsona... The "OMG WHERE DAFAQ DID YOU COME FROM?!?" entrance.
Most of you have probably wondered about that toad character I use as my avatar here. Well, that's an old OC of mine and something of a "toadsona" I created several years back. Kinda created him for RPs with friends that...kinda never really happened. Recently, I decided to pull him out of storage, wipe off the dust, and revamp him for use today. This includes a somewhat altered back story, and an age up.
The bio form I'm using was originally created by my friend Saturn, and it can be found here. Click "read more" if you wish to read all about this guy.

Personal
A brief description of your character's history: Dus T. is an orphan, having been taken in by Mushroom Castle staff in his preteens. His childhood was pretty unexciting, not that he minded. Though he did make some interesting friends in the orphanage before his adoption, including a yoshi kid who taught him the flutter jump. He liked drawing since he was five and writing since ten. In his early 20s, a few years back, Dus T. earned the position of King Peter's scribe.

Your character is called up for an award and is congratulated.
Dus T. is unbelievably surprised and hasn't a clue what to say.
Your character didn't win any awards and watches as someone else is congratulated.
He just watches with interest; he wasn't exactly expecting to win.
