Koops jumped slightly in surprise, as he kept forgetting how easily Lighty could read people, but he quickly regained his composure. He glanced in the direction of the hall leading to the first floor rooms, near which was the stairwell to the other floors.
âA quick peek in a vacant room wouldnât hurt, but of course I wouldnât want to spend too much time on that,â he figured as he looked that way. âI meanâŠif youâre giving me a tour of a village, thereâs no point in staying in one spot for too longâŠâ
Lighty gave a thumbs up an a subtle wink âGotcha! If youâll just follow me this way to the rooms down here, iâll show you to one!â The rooms were fairly close so it was a quick walk to an unoccupied room as lighty unlocked it to show him in. It was definitely big for a hotel room. A kitchen, bathroom, and room with two beds was what it was. Pretty common hotel. But the interior was always at itâs finest.
Koops poked his head in and peered around the room. It looked rather cozy self-contained living space and seemed to have everything someone in a village like that would need to eat, sleep, and play.
âLooks like a lower-tech version of those Seagrass Resorts under the timeshare company my neighbor got roped into,â he mused as he scoped the place.
He and his family were allowed to come along to use one of their rooms one summer. They made for some cozy vacation spots, but those timeshare companies apparently really clung tightly to its users and made it near-impossible to opt out once you were in.
