@dustyjournal I don't think vanilla flavored tumblr allows you to reply to replies/mentions, but I could be wrong! I use the xkit extension one-click reply.

Yeah, it’s so dumb, like tumblr only gives us one half of the messaging feature? It’s so limiting to not be able to reply to people by default. 

And I know there are IMs/DMs now, which work if you’re only talking to one person. But it won’t work if you’re looking to have actual discussion in a community (on the other hand, I find tags too public for things, like, absolutely everyone can see if I tag something, even if I’m tagging things for my own organizational purposes, and take that as an invitation to creep on my blog. This is not at all how I like to interact with people in fandom :S

Side note: the fact that there are so many tumblr blogs and Q&As about “how to ____ on tumblr” shows just what a freaking MESS the site is. It’s terribly designed, not at all intuitive, and I honestly wish people still used Dreamwidth/LiveJournal for fandom stuff.

Awesome pulllist wf! Mine's pretty close to that, but +Batgirl, Green Arrow, Flash, Titans, Birds of Prey (what is money anyways? O:). Really, really loving all of the Rebirth titles so far. (and trinity is cominnnnnng, i can't wait. 8D)

There’s more on the list, but I haven’t read them yet. XD I got Red Hood today, but I haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet because I’m working on a chapter of the fic I’m writing.

It's really fantastic! I experienced the same thing when I drew SPN fanart. Peeps just weren't interested in bang artwork, if they didn't also absolutely love the fic. So barely any notes for it, etc.

That’s so strange! And sad. :C

I don’t want to be too discouraged from doing DCBB art again this year. But it’s always so stressful because now to make a fic successful you have to promote it in advance and make great graphics and I don’t know what else. That it’s so competitive now (and that it can be hard to get notes for bang artwork) kinda takes the fun out of it.

Not all the fun, obviously, as I love the part that is about working together with an author.
