1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?
Mukuro Du Volonfer. When I originally made the character around two years ago, I was trying to think of a Noxian last name and saw that our only real example of a Noxian last name (and family), barring Swain, was Du Couteau. Going off the french idea, Volonfer comes from the two french words Volonte and Fer meaning Will and Iron respectively. Mukuro is a Japanese name literally translating into corpse or cadaver. Her name all together means The Corpse of Iron Will, and I thought that was awesome.
2. Do they have any titles? How did they get them?
Mukuro is the current heir of the Du Volonfer Family, due to the fact that she was adopted by the Du Volonfer. The Du Volonfer, specifically the House of Volonte, have a tradition of recognising talent over nationality and blood. This allowed Mukuro to peak the interest of her mother and the rest is history.Mukuro is commonly seen as a Traitor in Ionia, due to the fact that she defected during the occupation. Also the fact that she committed genocide on her own village.
3. Did they have a good childhood? What are fond memories they have of it? What’s a bad memory?
Mukuro lived with her sister, Chesa since birth. She and her sister were orphans and basically had to scrape by through the charity of their village for survival. Mukuro learned how to Hunt, Chesa learned how to sew Mukuro back together when she tore. Some of Mukuro’s best memories were of Chesa bandaging or healing her, since those were the times when they would really connect and talk to each other. A bad memory that Mukuro had was during the Noxian Occupation, in which her master scolded her for making a preemptive strike on the Noxian encampment. Mukuro needed some support or praise for doing such that, instead she was met with punishment for doing what she thought was right.
4. What is their relationship with their parents? What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents?
Parents? What are those?Mukuro has a larger affinity with her mother, rather than her father. Mukuro’s father is a worldly man who refuses to participate in the Ionian Conflict and provides intel instead, and this causes him to not only frustrate her for his pacifism but frustrate her on the grounds of how understanding he is of Ionian ideals. Her mother, on the other hand, is one of Mukuro’s largest ties to not only the Noxian Hierarchy but Noxian ideals in general. Eurydice constantly takes her daughter out to gatherings, teaches her how to be a lady and reinforces the core beliefs of Noxus in her head. One of Mukuro’s best memories is learning how to use makeup with her Mother. One of her worst was getting the prosthetic arm satellite installed into her arm with her father.
5. Do they have any siblings? What’s their names? What is their relationship with them? Has their relationship changed since they were kids to adults?
Well… In a recent thread, Mukuro’s sister attempted to kill her using an improvised explosive. That should speak volumes as to their relationship now. Chesa is Mukuro’s fraternal twin sister and the two of them shared the average sibling relationship while they were younger. Chesa was the responsible one who would pull Mukuro out of trouble with the authorities while Mukuro provided the family of two with meat and protection. Chesa was Mukuro’s closest confidant before leaving for Noxus. Now, Chesa wants to forget that there was even a Noxian side to Mukuro. They have this weird understanding that things have changed, and at the same time, they wish they could have their old lives back to an extent.
