Honey Bee is what many ponies consider a gentle giant! Despite his large stature and initially intimidating demeanor, Honey Bee is quite the gentlepony.
Honey Bee earned his cutie mark at a very young age, being the curious foul he was he would often snoop around the forest near his home to find and study any bugs he found!
Though this forest was a dark and ominous woods called the Everfree Forest that ponies had been warned to stay away from, and one day Honey Bee went into the woods and got himself very lost.
Thankfully, he was found by a pack of wolves who took him in as their own, raising him and taking care of him for most of his life. He learned to speak to other animals, and even some insects!
Though he was eventually found years later by his biological family, who he had very little memory of and his "wild" nature made it hard for him to get along. Being integrated back into society was no easy feat for the pony.
So his parents took it upon themselves to send him to the school of friendship, Hope's Peak Academy, to help him along.
But even a giant pony like him couldn't stop him and his classmates from being trapped in the Academy with the threat of their cutie marks being stolen looming over their heads.
Avocado Toast came from a large family of ponies, and very wealthy at that. His mother Velvet Rose and his step-father Sunbeam Trotter being successful businessponies. He was raised spoiled, but he still had responsibilities.
Avocado is the older brother of twelve younger sisters (most being his step-sisters), so despite being treated like a celebrity at times he still felt he had to help out with them.
One year Avocado's family went on a boating trip, and unbeknownst to him when he had gotten off the boat to go on an adventure alone, one of his youngest sisters followed him off and she went missing. Since then, with the permission from his step-father, he took a boat and start sailing around the world in search for his sister. This is what finally earned him his cutie mark!
Somehow, all twelve of his sisters went missing, and while his parents told him to give up he never did. He was determined to find them all, even if it took his entire life.
But he didn't want to waste away what time he had, so why not settle down for a little while and go to school? He certainly had the money to.
But when he got to Hope's Peak Academy, he didn't expect he and his classmates to get trapped there! What could a bear want with their talents and abilities!?
Hazy Light is one of the only natural born alicorns to ever exist, born from the unicorn Midnight and the pegasus Show Stopper from an affair. He's never felt quite worthy of his alicorn ranking, seeing as he didn't earn it like any other alicorn, and wears a hat to hide his horn.
Though he doesn't have a relationship with his parents Shimmer Bright (an earth pony) and Show Stopper, which makes it painfully obvious he isn't Shimmer's blood.
Hazy Light spent most of his adolescence with his uncle and aunt, Silver Noir and Frosty Cocoa, while his parents were away for "business." He still resides there, with his parents currently overseas.
As a young foul he went to private school on the request of Show Stopper, and there he tracked down his classmates pet miniature alligator as his first unofficial case which also earned him his cutie mark!
To thank his uncle for taking care of him he became his apprentice, mostly just helping him out around the office. But he proved to be a very skilled detective and started helping him with actual cases.
Silver Noir eventually got Hazy Light enrolled in the school of friendship, Hope's Peak Academy, in hopes that he could make some friends there and come out of his shell. He couldn't stay cooped up forever.
Unfortunately, things don't all go according to plan when they get trapped in the school by a strange mechanical bear?

Golden Gadget is one of the youngest creatures to ever join the ranks of Canterlot's esteemed scientists! Her goal? Finding a way to create something similar to unicorn magic to make the lives of creatures everywhere easier!
Golden Gadget (Previously Golden Heart) was raised in Griffonstone along all the other griffons. If you asked her, she'd tell you she was quite unremarkable when she was young and had absolutely no talent (both literally and figuratively.) In fact, she had been a blank flank until one day she got into a horrible flying accident one day.
She was visiting Canterlot, and while flying on her way there she collided with a pegasus in the sky which sent them both crashing to the ground. She was close to death because of the accident, and ended up in a coma for multiple weeks. But when she awoke, her head was full of ideas for all sorts of inventions! She even changed her name to "Golden Gadget" because she felt she was brand new griffon! Unfortunately, her wings were permanently damaged from the crash despite the doctor's efforts.
So her fist invention, the one that earned her her cutie mark, was creating braces for her wings that permitted her to fly again! (Albeit not as quickly as before.) But everyday she comes up with ideas to make them even better, hoping to one day she'll be able to fly normally again.
It was this invention that caught Professor Bright Mind's attention, and he took her in as his apprentice! She helped him upgrade his prize creation, and eventually her "best" (and probably only) friend, H0-P3 on occasion. Though Prof. Bright insisted she pursue her own dreams and creations while studying and working under him.
But that was about all she pursued. Other than H0-P3, she had no friends and frequently isolated herself from everybody else and got herself lost in her work to a concerning level. So Prof. Bright enrolled her in the School of Friendship with H0-P3, hoping they'd finally realize they aren't so different from everybody else and make some friends.
Golden, on the other hand, wasn't the best at it. And when she and her new classmate's cutie marks are threatened, the cutie mark she revered oh so much, she makes the decision to try and steal the Elements of Harmony instead.
The world needs her talent!!!

Also, if you are wondering why she has a cutie mark it's because in this AU almost every creature has a cutie mark. The exceptions being umbrum and changelings, of course both can make it look like they have a cutie mark if they want. And H0-P3 is also an exception, but only sort of. Their cutie mark is still important to them, even if it isn't real.
There are only three characters in this AU that don't have cutie marks, but only one of those three are keeping their true identity hidden.
I made a Milanote board for this AU btw! But please be mindful that everything not posted on here yet is prone to change, and there are spoilers for the future of this AU (albeit minor at the moment). There are also unposted characters in the design section! So if you don't want to see them just yet, don't go into the design section!

So, let me explain. I and my good friend @ellameloetta do a roleplay with her OC, L.T, and the character Ryoma Hoshi. This roleplay includes headcanons about Ryry that the both of us have, including one of mine, that being Ryoma was in a few movies, including a cheesy cop show called Six-Up, in which he plays the rugged yet handsome main character, Detective Elliot Olsen. I was really getting into it with this, so I've decided to make it into a fanfiction! So, it's really just an original story, but imagine Ryoma as Elliot. So, enjoy!
