When Jenny first got introduced, I was really excited. I was really happy that Giles was gonna have a love interest! Sure, I was jealous It wasn't me, but I was happy that he was gonna get to be happy. God knows he's been through enough, even at this point in the story. Unfortunately, I quickly realized that I don't really like Jenny. I'm not sure why, I guess I just didn't like her personality? I didn't like how she made fun of Giles for not liking monster trucks and out there stuff, nor did I like how she fibbed about dog earing and highlighting his books "just to see you (him) squirm." I'm also an avid book reader, so that was, like, a cardinal sin.

I was also frustrated because of how she was avoiding Giles after the thing where she got possessed by his teenage angst monster... LOL. He was so madly in love with her and she was kind of just... Not there. I understand why she would feel a little bit uncomfortable around him after that. Hell, I probably would, and I love him to pieces. That's less me being annoyed at Jenny for that and me being annoyed at the situation in general. Her reaction was justified, I just didn't like it, lol.

Side note, I feel like her being Romani wasn't super expanded upon like, at all. Like, her uncle appeared for two episodes, and one of them was his death. Come on. Then again, I have heard that there's a lot of casual racism in this show so mwehhh. Besides all that, I just felt like ​Jenny and Rupert just didn't have a lot of chemistry. But then again, what do I know about chemistry? I've never taken a class, ba dump tsh!

Okay, rant and bad joke over. If you do like Calendiles, please tell me why in the comments! I would genuinely love to hear if you guys liked them and why.
