🌙🍷💀 for all three of the kageyama sisters :))
🌙 - What’s their sleep schedule like?
Kana‘s days are usually pretty busy, regardless of when in her storyline she is, so she tends to wind down around 10pm and can be out like a light by 11:00 tops. She sleeps like the dead, too - though, if you purposely try to wake her up, she’ll do so pretty easily; on her own, she’ll usually sleep until around 6 or 7am. This doesn’t mean she’s a morning person, however, and just because she is awake doesn’t mean she wants to be awake. She’s a bit of a zombie for the first hour or two after getting up.
Reina is an insomniac of the highest degree. She’ll be unwillingly awake well into the early hours of the morning - around 3 or even 4am sometimes - and will sleep fitfully until 10am or so. She’s a light sleeper, waking up at the slightest sound and then passing back again about a minute later, and generally never sleeps all the way through the night without waking at least twice. Because she’s grown so used to this over the years, Reina is also able to function of as little as three hours of sleep; she hates it, but she’s done it many times before and will inevitably do it again.
Hina sleeps in shifts. She’ll stay up late and then pass out, sleep for about five or six hours, go on with her day, and then take two-hour nap sometime in the early afternoon. She’s not exactly an insomnia, she just needs less - though more frequent - sleep than her sisters. (Her pokemon team is all cats or cat-adjacent, so she tends to curl up with them in a giant cat nap cuddle pile - which is great for staying warm in Hisui.) Hina is also a pretty light sleeper; not as much as Reina, but enough that “cat nap” is the perfect way to describe it.
🍷- How do they feel about alcohol?
Kana doesn’t have a strong opinion on it either way, actually. She’s had it before, once or twice, but doesn’t particularly enjoy the effect - so she just... doesn’t drink. She doesn’t really care if other people do, though, provided they’re responsible about it.
Poor Reina does drink, especially around the anniversary of her sisters’ disappearances. Vodka is her drink of choice once she’s out of the Kanto/Johto/Sinnoh part of the world and Shochu isn’t as readily available. She makes sure to be safe about it, but Reina drinks to get get drunk so she can sleep or forget or both, but it doesn’t really help; still, it got so bad for a while there that she was very nearly a full-on alcoholic. Thankfully she was able to come back from it, and it never got as far as it could have, so she does try to keep a sharper eye on it than in the past.
Hina drinks upon occasion, though she’s never been further gone than giggly and tipsy. She’ll have a couple of drinks at celebrations (festivals, events, after parties, weddings, etc.), and she mostly just treats it as a social thing. She enjoys being buzzed around people she likes because it makes things more fun than she’s already having, but she has no desire to get much drunker than that, or to drink outside of social events.
💀 - How do they feel about horror movies?
After living in Hisui for like, fifteen years, Kana is barely afraid of anything anymore. She was always pretty chill about horror movies to begin with; for as much as her love of metalcore and emo music matches her sisters’, horror movies were always more the kind of thing she’d let play in the background while she was doing something else. After returning home to present day, though, she might have to ease herself back into them - especially the gorier ones like slashers.
(Seeing her husband get ripped apart by a rampaging alpha pokemon while defending the settlemnt left her with a weird PTSD mix of desensitization to and visceral terror of graphic depictions of violence and dismemberment.)
In true metalhead fashion, Reina loves horror movies. She likes to turn the lights off and wrap up under a blanket on the couch to watch at least two horror flicks back to back. (If she has a partner, she’ll snuggle up with them~) They don’t really scare her per se, but she’ll get pretty into the more intense parts, staring intently at the screen in anticipatory silence - she’ll jerk back at any jumpscares during these parts just because she’s so focused. She’ll also try not to talk through the movie too much, but she’ll happily let out quiet encouragement to the Final Girl and a triumphant little ‘yessss!’ when they get away.
Hina is the kind of person you see at horror conventions, dressed up as either the sexy, short-skirt version of the killer, or covered in fake blood and gore to look like the killer’s victim. She loves horror movies just as much as Reina does, but she’s more obvious about it; she’ll talk at the screen to try and warn the characters of the monsters right behind them, she’ll yelp and jump at all the scares or sometimes boo them if they “aren’t scary enough!” Sitting with her on the couch during horror movie night is dangerous because you might just wind up with a bowl of popcorn accidentally tossed at your face, of she’ll be climbing into your lap. (She isn’t really all that scared, but she loves the thrill and the adrenaline rush makes her giggly - even after years in Hisui, because the horror is behind a screen and safely contained, so movies are a nice escape from the shit she’s lived through for real.)
