So you guys can hate me if you like, but it’s been 3 months and I don’t care, I want to tell you what I think and why I think it. Basically, I couldn’t give less of a shit that the Master got arrested and probably sent to a concentration camp. You wanna know why? Because he is literally a terrible person. He might be insane, but, I say this as someone who is mentally ill, that doesn’t excuse you being a shitty person and killing people. Do you guys remember what he did during the year that never happened? Within 5 minutes of letting the Toclafane in he had 10% of the human race killed. That would have been 600 Million people. It would take you at least 19 years to name all those people if you said one name a second and didn’t stop for anything. Remember how Martha was the only person to get out of Japan alive? By the end of the ‘year that never was’ way over a billion people must have died. Because he wanted it. Because it was fun. Oh yeah. And then ages later he wiped out the Time Lords, because he got mad. Of course he has interesting factors to him, depth, nice bits to his personality, a couple of vaguely redeeming aspects (including the fact that the Doctor has been fairly desperate to save him on occasion, he is their weak point) - guess what, so does every other shitty person in existence. When he comes down to it he likes killing people. He is basically a genocidal maniac. Would you feel sorry for Hitler if he ended up in a concentration camp? No you wouldn’t, because while the 6 million who died in concentration camps did in no way deserve it, it would be nice if Hitler got a taste of his own medicine, to experience the horrors that he inflicted. The same applies to the Master. Poetic justice, if you will.
