15 quick and important things about the whole dwasc fiasco that blew up today

1) yes, their story isn't that well written, needs to be spiffed up and shortened, and the characterisation isn't the best 2) it's still a wonderful fic with a lot of potential and the writers should be proud that they've come thus far because the fanbase is wonderful and worth it for such a lovely fic 3) all of the hate they've gotten today is completely unnecessary 4) im not talking about the constructive criticism that a few polite people have commented about, im talking about the people legitimately bashing just to have something to be negative about for one reason or another 5) they are not freaking out about the criticism in itself. theyre freaking about the unnecessary, overwhelming hate theyve gotten about it that i just mentioned 6) they have dealt with a lot of shit the past few months, hence why it hasn't updated, and hence why they got so upset over all of this 7) they had dealt with a lot of shit only to come back and have something they love and were proud of and have been working hard on for a while blow up in their faces, and again, already at a very low point in their lives 8) yes, it could use quite a bit of editing, but it's still a great fic 9) it's not just about the fic 10) it's not JUST about the fic 11) theyre not going to be on tumblr for a few days or so but please send over some positivity their way as their lives are pretty rough right now but they're total sweethearts and they deserve a bit of a pickmeup 13) they deserve it 14) stay strong koda, scout, and all young writers of the interwebs. what you guys are doing is great and you deserve some recognition. never give up 15) thanks for reading♡

About friendship

I met @celadonleaf and @scoootoooot through their work about a year ago. Since then they’ve been friends, they’ve been writers i admire and they’ve people people i care deeply about.

What’s happening to them is infuriating. They’re young, they’re talented writers who are essentially trying to enjoy their passion and one day decided to publish their work. That work inspired many people, including myself, and more importantly it was fun.

You know who you are- no matter how much you hate something, you have no right to hate on it to the point of making teens hate what they love doing. I know you’re not going to stop, because you’re having way too much fun being the local asshole.

Koda and Scout are my friends and i simply can’t stand what’s happening. They aren’t names you can hate on because their work gets recognition. They’re people. They’re teenagers. No matter how high you think you are, simply because you decided to target authors who did nothing but be successful- i will tear you down. No one messes with people i care about.

A word about Devil With A Silver Compass

As most of you have noticed, someone decided to post hate into the dwasc tag to complain about how shitty the fic was and overall be like all the stupid haters we know and would like to forget.

People have reacted and sent angry anon messages. I’ll make it clear : don’t do that. It’s exactly what they’re waiting for and it’s giving them more occasions to hate on the fic.

The best thing to do is to leave them alone. Don’t fuel their hate. Don’t give them the satisfaction of having some of your time.

Simply block them and let the hate die. It’s pointless to try to argue with pure jealousy.
