Do you have any headcanons of what colours the wild bunch would dye their hair in or in general how they'd style it when they are older?

Vanessa would definitely styles her bandana in different ways, like wearing it as a hairband or with a messy bun. I also could see her with braids, mostly because of the old design (??), she looked so cute. Speaking of color, I think red strains would look nice on her

For some reason I'm convinced Markus would bleach his bangs at some point, maaaybe even try raccoon hair. Overall he'd just grow out his hair and now it covers both of his eyes

Jojo with blue hair. I don't know why I just see him with full blue hair blue hair and pronouns. However I'm torn between short messy hair and long hair low ponytail. Eeeeh both? You decide

It's really hard for me to pictire Deniz without curtain bangs, so he'd just experiment with the length. Wolf cut maybe? Also bleach tips and proooobably dye the inner side of his hair. I like him with a ponytail as well

Hard to imagine Marlon without dreads too. I already hc him bleaching his hair, so his styling would be just decorating his locks all over the place. When he's older he'd most likely let it loose, but have some braids/inbraided dreadlocks in his hair (3rd pic is the closest what I could find to what I mean). I think at some point he could shave his temples?

I guess neither Leon or Raban would style their hair or color it and just let it grow to the point they're able to tie it in a bun only to cut it short right after. They're the guys that go bald once their hair look actually good. BUT I do think Leon had to dye his hair pink as a lost bet

I'm actually so awful with these stuff, it took me way longer than it should. I also know nothing about hair styling or how to find good examples 😬 I'm not a fashion girl at all

In regard to your genderbend AU of the wild bunch I'm gonna spill some of my thoughts (I hope you don't mind):

I love all of these ideas so much! and they make so much sense too.

I think the main conflict one could explore with male!Vanessa could be just him having so many friends who are girls, since it is sometimes seen as unusual for guys to have just female friends. It could explore his masculinity in that regard and tackle how people of the opposite gender can be friends and they don't always lead to something more romantic.

With this AU one also could also the opposite of football, like handball or volleyball (it is surprisingly hard to find a "feminine" group sport since most sports that read as feminine are done solo ir are not competitive, like yoga or ballet)

You mentioned female!Leon being a tomboy, do you think he would have short hair in this AU, since he has longer hair in the show?

Any ideas how Michi would be in this AU? Would the unbeatable Winners be typical mean girls?

I love your ideas on male Vanessa too, it sounds inteesting and would make sense. Also gives an explanation why'd male Natasha would bully him, although he also has a group of female friends techniacally. Well, male Nata could either keep it a secret or just say that they're friends of his cousin and he just sticks around (I don't think Natasha in canon considers Siegers her friends either but idk).

I also thought about changing the type of sport they play into a female-prevailing one, but, as you said, it's mostly solo-based, plus I thought it would go a bit too far from the original concept, which I personally don't really wanna do.

In regard to fem!Leon, I mostly draw her with long messy hair cuz she doesn't care about brushing it, but short hair Leon is also dope! I had an idea with a fem!Leon cutting off her hair to appear even less feminine, but it didn't go anywhere, so there's just some sketches for funsies.

Haven't really thought about Siegers in this au, but probably, yeah. Except they're not like those regular mean popular girls that wear all pink, they're like your local mean insecure butches or smth lol.

I talked about Deniz' mom, theorized about Raban’s parents, have a whole au for Wessel's family and slightly touched upon Theumer's family, it's time to talk about Jojo.

Beforehand, hcs are gonna be about Conny and Franz, and I know he's never been confirmed Jojo's dad, in a way it was even dismissed, but it's canon to me mmkay, everything is canon if you're crazy enough. Nor was Conny's addiction ever confirmed, but I'd say it's heavily implied. Also I never read the books, so if you know "the og" lore - I'm sorry for my bullshit.

For some reason both Conny and Franz always alluded to me as some sort of "weird kids". Harmless but rather aloof. Dreamy loners, to put it simply. Franz did have better time socializing tho since he was on a football team, but even there I feel like he might have been a bit of an outsider for being a hippie.

Conny liked photography and Franz was... a bit of a stalker I guess? Not the creepy one, but the one that stalks abandoned buildings and structures, forests, yada yada. If I'm not mistaken in the series Franz also had a nickname Herzog (duke)?? Now, my theory is that he knew forest so well and spent so much time there that it sort of became his second home, his "domain". And since dukes usually owned huge territories, he, or his friends, started to call Franz Herzog (of Finsterwald).

Later he and Conny started to hang out more: Franz would show her around and Conny would take pictures of everything she saw.

Then Franz' team fell apart but they continued to hang out with Conny. She sort of kept him going. They were "just friends" for a long time, but eventually started dating. Their first date also happened in the forest, maybe at those old ruins.

The relationships, unfortunately, weren't really healthy. They might have seemed healthy on the first glance, but in reality they were really co-defendant and destructive for both parties.

Now a bit more on Conny. Despite both of them being "outsiders", she definitely faced more troubles making friends. Franz was her only friend + some of his friends, like Willi, for example. I like to think that she had anxiety problems (perhaps even an avoidant personality disorder? idk, don't wanna get too much into this rabbit hole), which made it difficult for her to function in the society, Franz just made it easier, but it also made her overly reliant.

Franz is a good man, but being with Conny 24/7 was suffocating. They tried to fix it for a while, but eventually broke up. That's the starting point of Conny's alcoholism. Right now it's just a bottle of beer during weekends after her first break up.

But with their separation she had to face other problems like finding a job, an appartment, socializing with other people, and just adult life in general. She managed, but just barely. Now a few bottles of beer in the evening helped her getting through the week.

Then I think at some point they reconnect and have a short affair, maybe even try to start again. It's Conny's initiative cuz she still loves Franz a lot. Somewhere around that time Jojo happens. They don't really become a thing again, but Franz still visits his son after he's born.

Conny starts working on her alcoholism and she even succeeds after a few years but then Franz dies. She feels so broken by the news she slips back into self-destructive patterns. Jojo was very little at that time so he doesn't really remember Franz, and Conny decided to keep it a secret (that's me trying to justify why Conny reacted so calmly on Franz' photo and told Jojo that he didn't contact her since graduation, I'm that delulu). Her depression gets worse and worse, as well as her alcoholism. She spends YEARS mourning her ex. She has a minimum wage job that she's risking to lose, she has rent debts, and worst of all - Jojo has to be a witness.

She loves Jojo deeply and wishes all the best to him, but she just can't handle the grief. So one night Conny gets so drunk she blacks out, meanwhile Jojo gets locked out during a cold night. It's not the first time that happens, but this time neighbors called the police. Conny gets deprived of parental rights and Jojo now lives in an orphanage.

She spends some time in a rehab, but doesn't show much progress there, still pitying herself and continue being miserable. That is until she gets a call that Jojo ran away from the orphanage. That rings a bell that she she must get her shit together and try to be better, at least for her son.

You know the rest.

This story doesn't quite correlate with canon, cuz, as I've mentioned, Franz wasn't confirmed to be Jojo's dad, and Conny reacted too calmly on a photo of a man, whose death allegedly sent her to a hospital.

Vanessa and 1FC rambelings

I feel like I talked about it but I don't remember where

Anyway

We all know about Vanessa's insecurities about being a woman in men's sport, right? Well I think it's heavily implied that the guys from the 1FC were likely the cause of this

So, at the beginning of the show the guys are pretty much fans of the 1FC, Vanessa is not an exception since we see posters of the team with their autographs

In her nightmare and during her break down on the field she sees specifically the 1FC, and dwk's laugh brings the memories of THEM laughing at her

My guess is that they were her idols and main source of inspiration, so after one of the games she walked up to them and probably said something about wanting to become a professional football player and they made fun of Vanessa, which led to some sort of trauma

I think we might even know who said the line, cuz for some reason this guy's face always appears in her visions. Maybe he's the captain, idk. I mean, it might be just lazy animation or I'm just reading too much into it. But I still felt like mentioning it

Love the outfit that you gave raban. Who of the bunch would be the most into Fashion you think ?

Probably Deniz, he'd probably be the most conserned about his looks, plus he's rich so he can afford fancy designer stuff

Probably Marlon too, but I think he'd be more into alt fashion, if you can put it that way. I mean something like boho and everything that looks like boho

Random ask inspired by lsbian Deon: who out of the bunch do You think would be the most different personality wise if they got genderbent? Vanessa would be a completely diiferent character bcuz her whole thing is internalized misogyny, and maybe f female Leon would express her anger differently cuz girls aren't allowed to be angry the way boys are (tho I think Leon's mental illness would override that anyways). Would Girl Deniz still struggle with comparing herself to Erol as much? I think Jojo, marlon n Raban would be kind of the same regardless of their gender. Jojo is already kinnda gnc and Marlon being the caretaker is p older sister coded. Not sure bout Markus.

That's actually a pretty interesting question cuz I feel like Vanessa's arc just wouldn't really work that way unless you change the whole concept??

With the bunch being mostly male it's more or less clear: a group of boys having to accept a girl because, holy shit, girls are not weaker than men, and, in fact, can be stronger than them sometimes. Thing is, she had to prove it first in a male-dominant sport.

And what would male!Vanessa have to prove? Realistically, I feel like it's the girls that'll have to prove themselves even more if anything, cuz people would call them cheaters for having a guy on their team.

Power dynamic is just different here, you see? I think it's still possible to deliver a "football is for everyone" type shit message, but Vanessa's whole arc was about going against sexist norms in sports (while being sexist herself but yeah whatever), which doesn't quite work for her male alternative imo, so he'd probably have a different type of conflict, but I really don't know which one.

Well anyway, let's close our eyes on that part for now and move on to other characters.

Speaking of fem!Leon, I feel like she'd be like canon Vanessa but... Leon. By that I mean she'd have internalized misogyny and claim that she's not like other girls while making excuses for her friends cuz they're on her team. She's full on tomboy behavior-wise and rejects almost everything feminine. Just like in canon, she'd be the one who was against male!Vanessa the most, but for a different reason: she thought his presence would make them look weaker and people would give him all the credit. I also think she could be a bit less impulsive in action, but muuuuch sharper with her words.

I don't see female Marlon being too different from canon one as he is probably the most "in-between" after Jojo. Though maybe she'd be not just a group supporter, but a full on older sister, if not worse, mother figure. Marlon is already a caretaker, imagine him being a girl when it's basically an expected default for women lol.

I personally headcanon fem!Raban to be second most feminine in the group. Hella nerdy sucker for tech and engineering, but still feminine (as in desiring to wear skirts, cute hairdresses and all conventionally girly stuff ). This is partly the reason of her beef with Leon. Fem!Raban sucks at football as well so Leon criticizes her for both not being a good player and not being tough enough. So Raban kinda has to suppress her feminine urges and feels very insecure because of that.

Jojo is also quite feminine and soft, but still tomboy enough for Leon to let that slide, though she probably still makes comments about that from time to time. She just doesn't bother herself (or others) with gender norms yknow. Nor does she really care what Leon says anyway.

Don't think Markus would be that different either, still emo with baggy clothes. Perhaps more insecure about her body idk. Although we never get to hear that, I'm sure as hell Markus got comments on his looks by his family because of his aristocratic origin, so double it with fem!Markus. Maybe she could be more "extravagant", more alt, but once again idk.

And finally fem!Deniz. Now that's a girly girl that does her hair and wears feminine clothes while still killing it at the field. She's just chill like that. Unlike Leon, Deniz doesn't have to bash on being "too girly" to appear confident and strong. And yet, Deniz is as arrogant as in canon, she doesn't tolerate wannabe dreamers.

Here I think it's important to agree whether we're changing EVERY character in the show or just the bunch. Cuz I think relationships and overall goals would differ a little. If we leave Erol as a male, she'd probably struggle even more, simply because people wouldn't view fem!Deniz as equal to her father. If we turn Erol into a woman Deniz still wouldn't have a good time as her mom would either be more worried about her daughter or put more pressure onto her.

It's also important to establish because... who do they play against? Do they only compete within their gender group or do they try to break the stereotypes by beating male teams and becoming the best? Shit like that.
