HOT TOYS MOVIE MASTERPIECE SIXTH SCALE DELUXE ACTION FIGURE
This is Hot Toys second attempt at Batman from The Dark Knight & boy is it a good one. Released in January 2012 as part of the Movie Masterpiece Series(MMS), this 1:6 scale Deluxe(DX) figure features the new & improved Dark Knight Batsuit with the bronze utility belt
The suit looks a lot better than the first Dark Knight they released as does the body, which Hot Toys changed for this second edition to the Narrow Shoulder True-Type figure body. It paid off, the new body is way better. With over 32 points of articulation the narrow shouldered body is exactly what they needed to improve on the first edition, which turned out to be way to bulky because of the body & the suit combo, it didn't turn out great. I mean it wasn't bad but if you compare the 2 now the difference is vast. Hot Toys stepped up their game
This second edition or DX02 has 2 functioning interchangeable heads, both feature the Hot Toys PERS system (parallel eyeball rolling system). One has translucent iris' & the other has the SONAR vision with light-up eyes. This requires cell batteries (which are included) & is turned ON/OFF with a switch on the nape of the neck. There are also 3 interchangeable mouth pieces all with different expressions & uncanny likeness to Christian Bale who plays Bruce Wayne/Batman
As well as all that cool shit above you also get Batman's cape & the back pack used to retrieve Lau from Hong Kong. 2 utility belts with magnetic features so you can hang the separated parts of the sticky bomb gun to the belt, very clever idea. 2 batarangs, 1 mini-mine & the grapple gun with removable holster. 5 extra interchangeable hands making a total of 7 & the stand with the LED light features. I think that just about sums this figure up
One minor/major detail. The Batsuit leaks oil at the abdomen region… bummer
