It had been a few days. Well, not for her, but for Aneki, at least a  few days. The Doctor had tried to leave. The TARDIS, ever with her own ideas, had continued to constantly bring her back here.

"Why? Why do you keep bringing me here?" the Doctor frowned pointedly at the console, before seeing a familiar face walking by. The woman who'd fallen into the sluice gate with her. That .. hm. The Doctor frowned. There was something weird definitely going on there, wasn't there? There was something about her that was ... familiar. The thought was accompanied by a zing of headache, and the doctor controlled a slow, steady out-breath.

"Alright, alright." she said, patting the console, "Let's go investigate." she heard the TARDIS hum in response. Stepping out of the doors, she jogged lightly to catch up with the young woman.

"Hey! Just me again." she beamed brightly. "Just, uh, just wanted to find out how you were holding up." she said, brightly, "Any injuries to follow up on?"

Lucy had run off again, distracted as she usually was by something shiny, and at the present moment that happened to be the stranger’s pant leg, which she pulled at anxiously with one small hand. 

Running over, Kaleb gently lifted their daughter and scolded her in Gallifreyan before addressing the stranger. “I’m so sorry---she does this a lot, no matter how many times I’ve told her not to.”

“Coffee: 12 cups,” Missy says, right before downing the drink, the hot coffee scalding down her throat. Then, by means of explanation, “I’m testing to see how much I can drink at once without one of my hearts giving.”

It was quite possibly the strangest thing that had ever happened to him in his entire life. One moment he was asleep in his sleeping bag on the ground by the campfire, the next moment he was waking up in a strange room full of lights and sounds that he didn’t recognize.

His first thought was aliens as he stared around, still tucked up in his sleeping bag. Eventually his eyes met with someone else’s, but they looked human to him. 

“What in th’ hell?”

He’d told Handles to ignore all calls for the time being (especially after he’d sent Clara home), and yet one came through anyways and he picked the phone up with a great amount of reluctance, saying, “hello?”

Superpowers | Elton & The Ironist

“Do you think taking a spider in an MRI machine will give you superpowers?”

“Well, there are certain levels of radiation in a MRI. Probably not enough. And the spider-- I mean in Spiderman’s case, was already radioactive, so I guess you could just get the spider radioactive by some means and then hope it bites you and hope you get superpowers and not... just die of a radioactive spider bite.”

Elton prattled on about superpowers and the like before looking up at the other man in the record shop, “Why? Have a MRI co...” The words fell away completely along with his goddamn mind, as he was 99% sure he was staring in the face of one mister Jeff Lynne of only his all time favorite band in all of existence. The other 1% was currently trying to remember his own fucking name.

“You’re my biggest fan-- I’m! I’m-- Elton, I’m your biggest fan, Elton Pope. I mean, that’s my name not-- You don’t care, you’re Jeff Lynne! But you know that-- I’m going to shut up now, I’m-- Um.” Elton took a deep breath. “Hello.”

Good god. Elton inwardly groaned and thought what could be more embarrassing and then realized he was holding a rather nice copy of ‘Eldorado’ in his hands that he was planning to by to replace his somewhat junky LP.

K-9 had always seen this odd game of fetch somewhat redundant, if he brought the ball back it was just thrown again, over and over. 

Yet somehow, he just couldn’t stop himself from chasing it.
