Hello new followers! Sorry for the mess

My ridiculous list of Side Blogs and when you put them in a list it really is… long.

Anyway I’m really glad my “follow them and hope for the best” has worked out. 😃 If you don’t dig my side babies that’s ok too! I love all my muses equally.

If I haven’t followed you but LIKED a promo, that means I’m going to eventually read your rules and follow UNLESS you’re a “selective/private” blog. Because I genuinely don’t know if that means it’s OK for me to follow or not so I’ll just wait for you to decide. I have social anxiety so I assume that’s meant for you to make the first step for your own mental health.

I’m slowly working on catching up w stuff I owe from MONTHS ago that I’ve collected in my Likes for too long, which is a massive beast of a mountain I must climb. Just my Likes in general. Piling up. Causing a fire hazard.

Look at the boy, poor posture, not giving a lick of interest to anything Alistair was saying. He never had this problem with any of his men at UNIT. If so he could easily have them reassigned. But this boy needed a firm hand. Alistair hated to see youth go to waste. Especially one as intelligent this boy. He was determined to have some kind of affect on the boy.

Alistair almost let out a ha at him saying he had discipline. "Don't give me that nonsense. You clearly have no discipline. If you did you wouldn't be getting yourself into some sort of trouble on a weekly basis. I don't know what I can do to get through to you? I'm starting to believe you're a hopeless case." Alistair looked at him continuing to slouch in the chair. "And for heaven's sakes, sit up."

Alistair picked up a file from his desk and flipped through it. "Look at this. Don't you have any shame, boy? With marks like these I don't know how you haven't been kicked out of this school?" With his hands behind his back he turned to look out the window. "You're not involved in any extracurricular activities, are you? You don't even have much friends, except for that poor weak willed boy Ibbotson, that follows behind you. You just exist here, nothing more."

Turlough gave a short huff as the Brigadier chided his posture and sat up straighter, but leaned hard on the arm rest. The verbal assault, the Brig reading from the rubbish his teachers had written him up for, the observations they made about him were all surface.

If they had any real observational skills they could see why Turlough tolerated Hippo, as dense as he was. He didn't have anyone either. And he was the only one of the boys that had even tried to make friends with Turlough. The Brigadier was right about Hippo being rather weak, the more Turlough prodded and made fun of him, hoping to get a rise from him, the more Hippo just showed his belly. Maybe Turlough was hoping Hippo would eventually challenge him, maybe even start a fight. Turlough would certainly deserve a proper trashing...

There would be little charming the Brigadier here. The school nurse was easy, she took sympathy on him for being a orphan. The teachers more or less were simply annoyed and disappointed by him for failing to turn in his work but acing tests without even trying (with the exception of history, of course, and middling on literature). The occassion test wasn't enough to keep his grades above water and he'd been accused of cheating more than once, unable to be proven. But the Brigadier Turlough wasn't sure about. The man wanted Turlough to try. And that was something Turlough had very little interest in.

"If I brought my grades up, would that be satisfactory to your general disparaging assessment of me, sir?" Turlough kept a pleasant tone to his voice, without being too saccharine or sarcastic. He just wanted to leave.

Of course on my two days off the internet is shitting the bed so hard I can’t write anything. I guess it’s Stardew Valley and catching up on downloaded episodes of Larry Saunders. (The early 90s edgy comedy was a fucking time, y’all.)

I'm not saying I'm going to make another Doctor incarnation... But I might. Because a Thread the other day made a list of who shouldn't be the Doctor. One of those on the list was Richard Ayode, who is on every list FOR the Doctor. But, I think this Thread was right. I enjoy him on panel shows being his sarcastic, dry, quirky self. But I've never seen him ACT in anything where he wasn't that.

HOWEVER...

Chris O'Dowd has the range, the whimsy, and gravitas. And damn if he didn't deliver some Doctor shaped speeches in The Sheep Detectives and a good "RUN!" sequence, too.

I'm not sure where in my New!Doctors timeline he'll fall...

He'll probably be NICER than 19 tho. LMAO

Thera studied him a moment more, slowly shaking her head. Not as a ‘no’ or a refusal to help, simply wry resignation that he had no idea of the sort of things a god might demand. “That would be the problem to begin with - they’d want to know what was so valuable.”

The thought sharpened painfully in the back of her mind, the likelihood that even those gods she counted as friends … might agree to help her, but she couldn’t guarantee they’d extend that to Rory and the Pandorica.

“It would really help if you’d tell me what was in there. Might give me an idea of someone who would do us the favour.”

She drew a breath, exhaled through her nose. “I’ll try to find somewhere. Will you be safe here for the time being?”

Questions like that reminded him why he stayed away from people. Couldn't anyone just do something out of the kindness of their heart? Why did everyone have to be so damned suspicious? And what business of theirs was the Pandorica. Why couldn't people take it at face value? A strange black box with a guardian.

Rory took another long slow breath, not required. It did calm him a little. People never noticed how little he did so. His expression went from darkened to acceptance as she mentioned trying to find somewhere even after he offered no more clarity over his charge.

"Yes. I'll be fine. Thank you." He paused, turning away for a moment, before turning back to her. He didn't meet her eyes. He wouldn't talk about Amy. Not to a total stranger.

"The box is my responsibility. It's of no danger to anyone. That I can promise you."

Zoe's eyes widened, her hand grabbing for the Doctor's arm to stabilize herself as she was pulled out of the way. She glanced quickly back and forth between Simon and the Doctor, the unasked question on her parted lips.

At least he did not leave her in suspense for long. Zoe released her breath with a little nod. "Alright, Doctor."

She'd known the newcomer would need medical attention already. That he might be contagious was news to her, but not a great surprise. This submarine was a death trap in more ways than one, it seemed.

Her eyes followed the Doctor to the TARDIS, but she hung back a moment. Hesitating. She glanced around the vehicle, in its alarming state, and took a few cautious, careful steps toward the navigation panel, frowning at its controls and readings. He was hardly given much of anything, was he? Zoe wasn't the type to recognize her own rage, but she was not feeling very kindly about the people who designed this craft.

The proximity sensor beeped. Zoe glanced at it, then turned and hurried quickly back to the TARDIS, catching herself on the doorframe just as the submarine shuddered, with a sound of ringing metal.

"Oh! If the submarine doesn't kill you, whatever's outside will!" She pulled herself inside and shut the door behind her, leaning back against it with a huff of relief.

"... Besides, the TARDIS has better sensors," she informed him. Zoe straightened, giving herself a little shake and recovering her nerves.

"We ought to take you to the medical bay. Right, Doctor?"

"Quite correct, Zoe. But first, we ought to leave here--" The Doctor hurried to the console as the TARDIS by way of the sub took another thunderous jolt. The chandelier in the ceiling gave an eerie jangle, a tea cup and saucer was jolted off a side table. Simon steadied himself by grabbing onto the Doctor's arm chair, hardly able to help himself.

"No, please-- I have to warn--"

"Who?" The Doctor nearly laughed, "The people who welded you into that death trap?" He flicked a few switches, not bothering to look at Simon's face, surprise and conflict shifting across his dirty face.

"But there's something out there..." Simon said a little more urgently.

"Which they knew about. They just didn't know exactly what." The Doctor pulled a lever. The door shuttered closed and the familiar vvoorp of the TARDIS began. "Zoe, how are those readings coming along?"

"What's that noise? What's happening?" Simon asked, though he wasn't sure why. Somehow he didn't think this Doctor was really listening. Like he already made up his mind.

His praise of her was nothing new, nor was his open affection, Elphaba had no memories of her mother, so she had been the apple of her father's eye for her entire life.

But she had also been the one to manage things and look after him, from a very early age. So joke as he might about misplacing his glasses, she did worry.

"It's not just leaving you alone that concerns me. Who am I to go to a great university like Shiz?" The green girl said, moving to grab the kettle. She was boiling water in for tea off the fire.

"I'm honored. Madame Morrible thinks so highly of me, but I'll stick out." In more ways than one, her complexion being obvious.

Elphaba opened her mouth to argue, but the words died on her tongue, visons were nothing new. Though they were never straightforward.

"A celebration?" She wasn't sure what she was seeing, but she knew she was seeing some sort of celebration throughout Oz, and she was at the center of it all. Her father looked well dressed and looked after because of her.

The vision faded, and Elphaba looked to her father. Despite her doubts, maybe this was the right move.

"Promise me, you'll take care of yourself."

Oscar stilled slightly, letting concern cloud over his eyes for only a moment as he saw Elphaba's far off stare. He knew that look, seeing it so many times, and pretending not to, he could no longer count them. Her hazy visions of the future, sometimes innocuous, sometimes very much not... He felt his heart catch at her words, however. He pressed his lips together to stop himself from getting too emotional. He was becoming much more sentimental in his old age...

He smiled gently as Elphie looked back to him and he moved to place his arms around her, hugging her.

"I won't give you any reason to worry, dear. I promise you. You have to learn to focus on yourself out there..."

The light was on again. Blinking and buzzing came from the radio on occasion, but Simon didn't trust it. How could he? The oxygen was low, it was just his mind... suffocating in here. He didn't think there was really anyone there. They didn't care. They never cared about him.

No one even bothered to call him by his name. Why would he ever think they saw him as anything but completely expendable? They needed the research of this stupid moon, because they didn't understand it.

But what had they done about the stars? Simon was a little tired of nihilistic dipshits who ran his life. Eden had seen it as divine rule and now they were the caretakers and... Well, that's when things got bad. The COI and the war...

The Station and all that going so wrong...

Why shouldn't Simon think this was exactly how things would turn out? Fucking hopeless. Fucking useless. All of it. Who was the nihilist now?

Simon wiped tears away, almost hoping for that British lady's voice again. At least he wouldn't be going crazy all alone.
