A pair of lightweight footsteps crept on wooden floorboards, as faint and raucous snores could be heard in a discordant harmony throughout the darkened corridors of the household. Luckily for Koyuki, that meant it was going to be an effortless liberation for her. Having had been bedridden due to sickness for the past few weeks, her parents had forbidden her from embarking on one of her infamous searches and demanded that she stayed put. So Koyuki did, well till she felt as if her sickening body could handle it. And tonight she felt as if her body was sturdy enough.
Once she made her way off the property of her family's estate, a smile couldn't help but tug at her lips. She couldn't help but feel liberated, from not being confined to her bed. Filling her lungs of the fresh, crisp night air, Koyuki wanted to take much of the smell in as much as she could. It was defiantly better than sickly air that was built up in her room. Unable to contain herself from excitement, she did a single twirl and allowed a soft sigh of relief to escape her lips. She was sure she was going to get caught be damned back to bed. But she made it, and she was free.
Once she was done taking in the moment, she composed herself and started her journey. She knew time was of the essences and she had to be back before that sun started poking out from behind the mountains that laid around the town.
Walking around her eyes would casually sway from side to side as her hands laid on her chest, gripping lightly on to the fabric of her kimono. Maybe this was a bad idea? Having had been remarkably eager to get back to her search, Koyuki had failed to realize that the dark was no place for a young girl to be wondering all alone. During the night, that's when mischievous people would come out play. Feeling her heartbeat start to quicken, she shook her head side to side. She was putting fears into her head. The town she grew up in was safe, and there was hardly any news of people being robbed or murdered. Koyuki couldn't help but gulp slightly thinking of the word murdered. She was going to be okay, and she was safe. Right?
After walking around the town for about a reasonable hour, her breathing started to become heavy, and her body began to grow weak. It had seemed she had misconstrued or instead ignored her body's actual conduction. Finding a right resting spot, Koyuki leaned her back against the wooden fence as she tried to steady her breathing. She was indeed an idiot for pushing her body to its limits. About a good ten minutes later, the petite raven-haired female felt composed enough to take the journey back home. Standing up straight, Koyuki shifted her head downwards as she lightly brushed her fingertips against her kimono. "Today was another failure.." she mumbled softly to herself as she was turning to face the direction of where her home. The petite female lifted her head but froze in her tracks when she spotted a very ominous figure standing just a few feet away from her.
Placing her hands on top of her chest, Koyuki's fingers clutched on to the fabric of her kimono as her right foot moved slightly back. Who is he? Why is he here? How come she did not notice anyone approaching her? But for some reason unknown to her she didn't feel scared, she was just a bit startled. As if a friend had suddenly appeared out of thin air to surprise their comrade. She didn't have the urge to scream or run away from this individual. But why?
Once the words parted from his lips, even Koyuki was unsure as to why she felt the same way. But how could she ever forget an appearance like that? His spiky pink hair, those piercing golden eyes, and all of those tattoos. Her parents were well-established business owners, and her father even had his foot through the door of politics. So there was no way she spotted someone like him during one of their many grand parties. But why did he seem so familiar? And why was yearning to touch him, to embrace him? Her heart was aching, and she was fighting back the tears. Oh, how she fought those tears.
"I don't know.. " Her voice was soft but audible enough for him to hear her. Koyuki's eyes couldn't help but be transfixed by him. "But... I have that feeling, as well.. Are you a son of one of my parent's friends, perhaps? Or maybe we walked passed one another in town before?"
