Kie softly ran her fingers along her sonâs unruly hair. She gently pressed her fingers against his scalp and began to caress his hair. She knew him well enough to tell that there was something going on through his mind. His face was like an open book to her.
âTell me⊠Whatâs wrongâŠ?â
She asked in a quiet voice as she continued playing with his hair.
snowybladeâ:
âElders? My sincere apologies! I was passing so fast I didnât even notice âŠâ
Yuki felt more embarrassed, not knowing what to do. she wanted to help her but didnât know how to say to repay her.
Kie nodded.
âYes, you did seem like you were in quite a hurry... I know these forests like the palm of my hand, maybe I can help you get to your destination faster if you tell me the name of the village you are trying to get to.â
bliindingliightâ:
oh. it had began raining since she had zoned out. a small hand reaches out to feel the rain beat down. just how long had she been idly standing about? she blinked a few times, registering the feeling of mud beneath her feet.    â hm. you neednât worry about me, maâam. i will be fine, as usual. â
she had been caught out in much worse. the landslides she had seen on the mountain she resides on have been chaotic. surely another will happen. she prays that her home will remain untouched.
After Kie heard the white-haired call her âmaâamâ again, she respectfully bowed her head and introduced herself.
âMy name is Kamado Kie but you can call me Kie. Itâs okay, Iâll wait with you until the skies clear up.â
It just seemed too dangerous to go walking to her home right now. Her gaze then turned towards the muddy scenery that laid before them. She let a sigh slip through her lips and placed her free hand on her cheek. A worried expression furrowed the womanâs brow.
@healiingheart liked for a starter!
the young woman is staring off into space, but this is honestly a common thing she does. daydreaming. thinking of better days. days before her run in with demons. it was hard then, but it only got harder. someoneâs voice would break through her haze.    â ah? iâm sorry, were you speaking to me, maâam? â
Kie nodded when the stranger asked her if she was talking to her. She did not mind repeating her sentence once more.
âYouâll catch a cold if you keep standing under the rain.â
She said again with a somewhat worrisome tone in her voice. The rain had not stopped pouring over the last hour and it did look like it would end any time soon. The ground had turned to mush and one could easily slip if they did not pay enough attention to it. Kie carefully treaded towards her placed the umbrella over her, getting slightly wet in the process. After all, two people could hardly fit under it. Â
solivcgantâ:
his brows lifted in surprise as she spoke. did he mishear her words? or was she really okay with him dropping formalities right after they just met? but now tanjiroâs overly friendly and trusting demeanor made sense to him. still, he couldnât bring himself to call her so informally. not after his parents STRESSED the importance of keeping formalities for their image.Â
âoh no, i wouldnât want to impose kiâ kamado-san.â he politely declined, a small smile on his lips as he tried to ignore his own nagging curiosity to see the other siblings tanjiro often boasted about. âand iâm fine, really. you donât have to worry about me. these logs arenât that bad.â
a couple more steps later and they were standing in front to her home. he let his gaze sweep around curiously. âah.. kamado-san? should i leave the logs over there? â he asked, nodding his head in the general direction of the stacked logs.
Kie softly chuckled when she heard the dark-haired having trouble stating her first name. She could understand the reason why he would call her by her last name so she let it slide. Still, she could not help but think about how kind he seemed. It was no wonder that Tanjiro had told him their home address. Â
When her companion asked her about the logs, she quickly replied,
âYes, there. Thank you.â
She placed all of them on the floor along with him and as soon as the logs fell into place and made noise, the houseâs sliding door brutally opened up. From inside the house, appeared four of her youngest children who ran into their motherâs embrace as they shouted âMomâ, âMommyâ, âMaâ. Once they surrounded her, she knelt down and hugged them. The children quickly began telling her anecdotes of what had occurred while she was away. Their voices overlapped with one another.
âTakeo⊠Hanako⊠Shigeru⊠RokutaâŠâ
She calmly stated, trying to simmer down their excitement.
âThe boy whoâs standing next to me is Eiji⊠Heâs Tanjiroâs friend.â
The childrenâs gaze shifted towards Eiji and as quickly as they had surrounded their mother, they did the same to the boy. They radiated with curiousity and enthusiasm.Â

âI got a little distracted ⊠Iâm sorry.â
Yuki looked nervous and a little embarrassed. She raised it and spoke with a little nervousness in her voice as she wiped her hands. His white skin turned red and his voice was a little shaky.
Kie showed the white-haired stranger a soothing smile as she patiently waited for her turn to speak. She then, approached her and told her with a calm and soft voice,
âItâs okay⊠It happens to everyone. But, please, do take care the next time. The villages nearby are full of elderly people and if you ran into them, Iâm not sure they would get out unharmed just like I did.â
âOh goodness! Iâm so sorry!â
âItâs okay, donât worry about it.â
Kie said as stood up from the ground, a soft smile spread across her face. She then carefully tried to wipe out the dirt with her hands. After she realized most of it would not come off her white apron, she shrugged and commented.
âOh well⊠It canât be helped.â
solivcgantâ:
âweâve talked a little every now and then when he comes to the town.â he wouldnât go as far as taking the liberty to call them friends, not when the conversations were limited. but they were.. acquaintances at best, right? his steps paused for a second as he carefully distributed the weight of the logs evenly in his arms. how did she carry these on her own? he wondered to himself, giving her a curious look before picking up his pace to catch up. âbut heâs mentioned where your house is at a few times.â
there was a brief moment of silence as they walked before his eyes widened with realization that he hadnât introduced himself yet. âsorry, iâm nochiâ iâm eiji.â how strange, it felt NICE to not be known by his last name.
When she saw him fluster, she silently stared at him with a gentle and kind smile as if she was trying to transmit her calmness. After he was done with his introduction, she bowed her head respectfully and gave out hers. After all, she was not truly sure if his son had mentioned her.
âMy name is Kamado Kie, but you can call me Kie. By the way, Eiji⊠you should come and visit us sometime. Iâm sure Tanjiro and the children would enjoy your company.â
As they kept on walking towards the store, she took several glances towards the boy. She was slightly concerned with the weight of those logs.Â
âWeâre close by. I hope those logs arenât very heavy⊠Are you sure you can continue on walking?â
multicanon-rpâ:
âSasori.â was the name he gave her, It was really the only name he had. Though he had a name to put to a face now. âWhy are you trying to help me?â
He couldnât wraps his head around her. He is a dangerous person, anyone that had survival instinct would run. The world id dangerous, trying to befriend someone that was napping or trusting someone right off the bad was a bad move.
She was slightly perplexed by his question. For her, helping strangers, friends and family came as natural as breathing air. She placed her hand upon her cheek and commented with a gentle smile,
âThere really is no reason behind it. I love to help others, itâs who I am. I believe⊠everyone has problems, everyone can have a bad day and if I can help alleviate some of that weight, I will do it.â
She then added in a whisper,
âI guess⊠making others feel happy, makes me happy too.â
She then quickly apologized with a soft chuckle.
âI think I talked too much. I hope I didnât bore you.â
solivcgantâ:
despite her words, he could see that she was anything but fine. where was her son that usually accompanied her? knowing that he couldnât waste any time trying to find out before she walked away, he apologized and stepped forward to take a few logs out of her hands. âiâm heading the same direction today..â a lie. he was SUPPOSED to head back into town. âso i can carry these up with you.â
âOh?â
Kie suddenly blurted out, that had certainly taken her by surprise. How did he know where she was going to? While she tried to figure it out, she handed over some of those logs to the boy. As she placed them over his arms, she thanked him and slightly bowed her head in gratitude. A great deal of weight had been lifted from her arms. Yet, as soon as she stretched her arms a little bit, she came up with the possible reason he knew where she was going to.
âCould it beâŠ? Do you know my son? Tanjiro?â
@multicanon-rp:
âThank you for the off but I decline.â He knows she means well, but he is a poison user. He is not trusting of eating or drinking anything given to him by some he doesnât know. Its a habit that he wont lightly give up. Even if the woman was just being kind.
âAs childish as it might sound I donât except thing from strangers.â This compassion that she was showing his felt odd. Its been a long time since he has felt it. The last time he could remember was when his parents were still alive. Are there truly people that kind? Or is he once again being deceived?
If he would not drink any milk, she would take a sip out of it. She then got up and chugged some of it down. After such a long walk, she was really thirsty. Once she was done, she shyly cleaned her lips with the back of her hand, making sure there were no traces of milk left.
âIâm sorry for my rudeness.â
She commented and proceeded to respectfully bow her head.
âMy name is Kamado Kie but you can call me Kie.â
She knew where he was coming from and could understand very well the reason why he rejected her offer. Nevertheless, she could not help but still find it kind of sad for people not to trust each other.

@multicanon-rp:
âFine.â He wasnât wounded in the least. It take a great amount to harm him, even then it doesnât last long. Though it appeared he was unconscious otherwise he would have seen the woman coming over. Though he doesnât understand why people seem to like to help someone they donât know. Its a concept he will never understand.
âI was only tired.â Was the only reasonable answer he was able to give the woman that would make much or any sense. Itâs like him to give anymore then what is needed. Such concepts were lost on him since child hood.
After she heard the strangerâs response, a gentle smile appeared in her face. She was honestly relieved to know that the man was fine. Even though, it was still slightly unsettling to see him lying on the floor.
âI am glad you are okay.â
She sincerely responded. She then crouched over to him and tried to hand him a leather container.
âItâs full of goat milk. Itâll give you some energy with just one sip.â

âItâs okay⊠Donât worry.â
She replied with a smile. She was obviously struggling to carry all that amount of logs but she did not want to burden the boy with it.
âWell, this is a fun way to meet new people.â (Douma. Because of course.)
She slightly jumped in surprise. She certainly did not expect anyone to show up while she was plucking some herbs. Especially at night. In the middle of nowhere. She calmly got up and turned towards the stranger and respectfully bowed.
âHello there. You kind of startled me.â
She commented with a soft chuckle.
