Today we played a festival near Austin called Death By Southwest. We were the headliner and originally scheduled to play sometime around 11:30 PM. Unfortunately it started raining around 7 AM and did not stop (still hasn’t). So the grounds got real wet real quick.
We hung around all day and met up with lots of friends, and ate awesome food truck food. Around 5 the Main Stage’s roof started to collapse and they decided to move the entire show to the smaller stage. They eventually decided we should play, and quickly shut the show down right afterwords.
The entire property turned into a muddy mess really quickly. The stage was waterlogged and covered in mud. Most of our gear was covered in mud until the rain washed it all away…
It was an awesome day, very unfortunate that the weather was such a bummer because it should have been an awesome fest. We drove to the Dallas area and tomorrow we’ll continue our drive to Broken Arrow, OK.
