OH-EMM-GEE! Tina has been texting us photos of some of the yarn we dyed last weekend in the @bluemoonfiberarts Dye Barn of Happiness and Eternal Joy. Right away, we had to show you these silk hankies Jason dyed because WOW!! Tina is a great teacher and Jason seems to have a natural talent for dyeing (more photos soon). The way the colors play on the silk is just amazing and Shannon insists it looks like a topographic map. We are going to be experimenting with using these by crocheting and knitting directly from them as well as spinning them and then putting hooks and needles to them INCLUDING doing some hand embroidery and sashiko with the spin thread. We’ve never had the opportunity to work with silk hankies before so this will be a new creative adventure for us!
