That’s racist, it’s implying he wouldn’t pronounce words because he’s a black guy from Chicago.

That's what I figured.  It's just...I was excited at first that he actually has a presence in the fandom and in fanwork.  But at the same time, his characterization always suffers from racist people who want to make him into a caricature.  So it invalidates his presence in the fanwork anyway.
