it’s based on a book series and basically demons,vampires and witches exist and it’s centered around a historian named diana bishop who is also a witch but doesn’t practice or anything like that she just wants to live a normal life but somehow a book that no one could find appears to her and everything starts from there..it’s a great show with great cinematography also matthew goode is in it so you can’t go wrong with that..

I mean I see what you mean and you have a point but I also think the hanging was linked to how the hung women for being withes back in the days of puritanism (Salem, etc)
yes of course it’s linked to that but it doesn’t really matter what the show tried to do since again they could’ve thought of a different way to punish her or literally chosen a different character to pit against sabrina. i don’t give a fuck about their cheap symbolism. if i was black and i had to watch a scene of a glorified lynching of a black woman in 2018 on a freaking riverdale-esque teen drama i would be rightfully furious
