Mae’r dyfyniad hefyd yn crynhoi llawer o’r syniadau craidd tu ôl y blog hwn a’r cysyniad o Gymruddyfodoliaeth, sef dychmygu sefyllfaoedd a dyfodolau er mwyn gallu effeithio ar y ffordd rydyn ni’n meddwl am y rwan hyn.

Mae’r artist Hefin Jones, sydd yn gyfarwydd i ddilynwyr Cymruddyfodoliaeth am yr anhygoel Ymgyrch Gofod Cymru, wedi dechrau prosiect newydd sydd yn cloddio'r un wythien ond o ongl wahanol:

Cosmic Colliery / Glofa'r Gofod

‘Cosmic Colliery’ [welsh translation - Glofa'r Gofod] will reveal the potential for abandoned coal mines to be used as underwater astronaut training centres. This project finds new uses for old industries, it embeds communities and cultures within a previously distant cosmic context, and explores social mobility through examining the effects of labour migrating away from such communities. Communities have the capacity to reanimate stagnant industries. With this in mind, I believe Wales can become a training-ground for astronauts.

Through a combination of participatory design processes, in-depth ethnographic research, and design prototypes, I will engage with an ex-mining community and document the tensions and aspirations that arise from the prospect of space travel.
