Morgoth, He Who Arises in Might #WIP #throwBack [Painted Jan 2017. Part of my end of the year review on my Valar paintings inspired by J.R.R Tolkien’s, The Silmarillion!] . A part of me seriously wants to have his crown made by a welder. Anyone out there have thoughts? . More on his character: “Once part of the Valar (equivalent to archangels), Melkor became the first Dark Lord who was named “Morgoth Bauglir” in Beleriand and Middle-earth. He became greedy and hungry for Light, but seeing it was inaccessible to him, he turned to Dark, coveting it…“

INKTOBER Day 5 - “ Long” . Catching up with posts on here! Check out my latest on instagram @dymond.starr
Hi all! Back on track, and settled into our new place in Seattle, Washington. I have one last post for King Manwë ! [Painted him last year, July 2016. This is part of my end of the year review on my Valar paintings inspired by J.R.R Tolkien’s, The Silmarillion!] . For King Manwë’s crown I wanted to reflect the Eagles feathers again, but also in Crystal form. Pure light blue, like the sky’s, the wind and his soul. When I started this series, it was with Varda. It was important to me, to carry over simular design elements through out each piece. He exists in between worlds. He is the balance, he is libra and justice. With that the benevolent king’s crown, has the crystal feathers gping up and down, just like his hand do.
