So I've met quite a few big deal horses. Curlin. Tiznow. Tapit. Giant's Causeway. Cigar. Pioneerof the Nile. Silver Charm. Street Cry. Seeking the Gold. Afleet Alex. Honor Code. John Henry. War Front. Game on Dude. Empire Maker. A.P. Indy. Animal Kingdom. Da Hoss. American Pharoah. And others - many others. The thing about important horses is they know that they're important horses. You feel that. But I have never felt a presence quite like I felt when I stood before Dynaformer in 2009. That animal looked at me as if I was damn lucky to have the honor of falling within his range of vision for those seconds. His posture told you that you and everything else on this planet was inferior simply for not being him. That was his message, and he transmitted it effortlessly and efficiently. When he died, someone told me how fortunate I was, to have gotten the chance to meet him. I know I was. That horse told me himself.
