Three Long-Rumored iPhone Upgrades
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro is rumored to introduce a variable-aperture system for its main camera. The feature could give the camera more control over light and depth of field, although its real impact will depend on how Apple uses it.
The phone may also get a Dynamic Island around 35% smaller than the current version, reducing the amount of display space occupied by the cutout.
A third expected change is Apple’s C2 modem, replacing Qualcomm hardware in the Pro models. The new in-house chip is expected to improve speed and efficiency while continuing Apple’s gradual move toward controlling more of the iPhone’s internal technology.
Observation: None of these changes sounds dramatic on its own, but together they could make the iPhone 18 Pro feel noticeably more refined rather than completely reinvented.
