Alive Museum + Dynamic Maze
Insadong’s Alive Museum is the largest 3D exhibition in Korea, displaying over 100 artworks classified into Trick Art optical illusion spaces and parody paintings, Object Art sculptures and art installations, Digital Art, and many more.
The museum invites visitors to be part of the artwork and enjoy it to the limits of the imagination.
The optical illusions are meant to be achieved at a specified angle and distance (no selfies!).
As the venue can get a little too crowded especially on weekends, you may need to patiently wait for your turn.
Wear something with which you can comfortably climb up, lie down, and make some wacky poses.
One last tip: Leave your bags in the locker and be free to roam around.

Are you up for a challenge? The recently opened Dynamic Maze is an action-packed obstacle course composed of 15 stages designed to be surpassed with strategy and teamwork.
I thought this maze is meant for kids, then quickly changed my mind when we can hardly find our way through the first stage. The most challenging areas for me were the spider’s web and the dark room. I actually bumped my head several times while maneuvering through the suspended net tunnel.
Things get more and more exciting as stages are cleared one by one. An emergency button is set in each stage if ever the intensity of it all causes a sudden panic attack. However, pressing one will automatically forfeit your chance to finish the rest of the maze.
Participants must have a height of at least 120 cm.
Wear pants. Clothes may also get wet.
Leave your bags and valuables inside the locker.
We went there on a Saturday and waited an hour for our turn. If ever this happens, I suggest you list down your name, tour around Insadong and come back at the specified time. Have fun!
