That scene where Tater helps Nachito read in "Summer of Lit-Tater-ature" made me remember a similar thing happening in "Read Aloud" from The Loud House

While the show doesn't exactly say it out loud like Primos does, the way Lola describes her problem when it comes to reading implies she's dyslexic, just like Nachito

Also this is probably my favorite Lincoln & Lola moment in the entire show. So adorable 🥰

Dose anyone else feel a bit hurt by the way Percy was represented in The wrath of the triple goddess ?

(The series got me thinking again)

I got into Percy Jackson because I finally felt like I’d found a representation of dyslexia but felt accurate to me. Sure Percy didn’t think he was the smartest but the narrative in the choices he made in the people around him disproves that. The way they depicted Percy in this book felt like a slap in the face from a trusted friend. If it like a fanfiction created by someone who missed the whole point of the subtext of the books.

These books that was supposed to encourage his kid and say that he’s smart, strong and courageous but it morphed into a stereotype reduced to the barebones of what people might assume from the outside. Something, I felt, that the original books challenged. Look deeper, people are more than your first impression. I found myself reading — feeling like a small child with a broken toy in her lab unable to put together the pieces.

I even wondered if Rick really wrote this because how could he? did the depiction was so dichotomous with the representation of a more mature, thoughtful, smart, steadying Percy who was respected and loved by Annabeth in the previous book. It felt like ice cold water.

I wonder if it’s because he only pictures the new kids from the TV series. They have done a lot for the characters and fleshed them out a lot which is super cool but I find that the book the triple goddess felt like it was written by someone who didn’t like him or, at least, didn’t like him anymore. I love all the depictions ( love the show) but why dose it feel like he is abandoning his kids?

The characteristics, traits and even joke style aligned more with Apollo (Who always peed his pants) than Percy at any point during the other books. Percy went up against the God of war it the ripe age of 12 not to mention going through tartarus. Justice for a bravé hero who stood up for his friends not in puddles of his own pee.

Am I missing something? Please reply with your opinions! Because I feel so lost.
