Opinion:  Mistake to test all Georgia kindergarteners for dyslexia

An educator and former school board member fears Georgia will now see an overdiagnosis of dyslexia as a result of a new law requiring universal screenings in kindergarten. She also has concerns about the corporate interests around dyslexia.

I am SOL in terms of money or ways to get money until some of my stuff starts selling (whenever that will happen) and I really think I may be dyslexic and I have thought this and doctors have thought this for awhile now but, I have no money to get tested. Do you have any resources or suggestions?

I've never been tested for dyslexia, seeing as I have hyperlexia and that seems enough to go on.  Maybe other people have some ideas.  I know that my community college offered testing for learning disabilities, but it was an exceptionally good community college for disabled students.
