Kunikida sighed. Knowing now that he did interrupt an intimate time between man and woman. "I'll give you both 30 minutes as a token of apology." He looked at the woman sincerely and bowed, apologizing once again. "I'll be back Dazai, make sure you have your fill of whatever you want in 30 minutes." He looked directly at the bandaged man with intense eyes. "Yes~ yes~" He languidly brushed off, to which irked the bespeckled man whom was walking away. "Bye Kunikida-kun!" With a ring of the cafe door, he was gone. "Ah! and to answer your question lady..." Dazai dragged the last few words while he looked around the room, looking for an inspiration to her nickname. There!

"Ehehe~~ Lady Teacup, plain black coffee for me please. No sugar, no cream." - dz anon

Minnie blinked at the cute nickname. "Teacup? That's..."

A mild blush tickled her cheeks as she grinned.

"Adorable!"

Minnie took a seat opposite the tall man, and glanced at the menu.

"I like my coffee slightly creamy but less sweet.", she said, leaning her chin on her palm.

"Black coffee is a bit too strong for me."

She glanced at the chocolate haired man.

"You know, they say that the way you like your coffee reflects on your personality.", she pondered out loud.

"Are you trying to seem broody, or do you really enjoy torturing yourself with the bitter liquid?", she said, tilting her head as her eyes glinted with a hint of mischief.

"Eh?"

Kunikida was suprised at what the woman had said, but with her reasoning... she was right. The blonde man was in the wrong.

He cleared his thoat before speaking. "Yes, you're right I apologize for interrupting your time, that was rude of me." While bowing down at a 45° angle, he glared at Dazai. Who was snickering at him from his seat.

"When we're done here I'll deal with you next." Kunikida's voice sounded like strict despite him whispering.

"Not if I get away again ehehehe~~" Dazai's expression was almost cat like.

Kunikida was about to give Dazai another piece of his mind when he heard the question asked by the woman still in front of them.

"Oh. Yes, we are detectives." Kunikida straightened up and pushed his glasses forward. "And I'm afraid I can't say anything, the case is of confidential matter."

"Ah, of course! I'm sorry for asking. Your jobs must be super confidential, eh?"

Minnie said, waving her hand.

"Ne, Kunikida-san, how do u plan to apologise for interrupting my date?", Minnie smirked, an evil but comical gaze set on the poor blonde.

"And you, mister bandages," she began, referring to the unique nickname the blonde had given his partner earlier, " What type of coffee do you prefer having?"

"Muu~~ Kunikida-kun you're so mean~~"

Now that they were found out, Dazai had no use hiding. He peered from his seat and pouted.

"Here I was, about to enjoy my day with a lovely woman and you come about and ruin it." He sighed, crestfallen. "Oh my heart! It cracks at the absence of love." Dazai puts his hand on his chest and immediately waves it around again. "Am I truly destined to be alone in this world forever?!"

At his dramatics, Kunikida became more annoyed. A tic mark almost seemed to appear near his forehead as he grabbed Dazai by the jacket. Like a mother cat picking up a naughty kitten.

"Stop your whining and apologize to this lady for dragging her around!"

Minnie giggled at their antics and wondered if she was dealing with grown men or 5-year-olds.

"Yeah, you better apologize!", she said teasingly. She then faced the blonde and smirked, " And you need to make it up to me too."

Upon seeing Kunikidas's confused expression, she explained, "You ruined my date! No lady likes her date being spoiled.", she pouted.

Getting serious, she asked the two men, " You both are detectives, aren't you?"

"What brings you to this part of town?"

One waft through the coffee shop air and Dazai could tell, his wallet was going to struggle. The aromatic flavors smelled rich and the pastry that lined the shelves nearby were freshly produced and ample.

"Ah! There's a good spot~~" The man eyed a place for them to sit and relax. Without notifying Minnie, he made his way over there as casually and quickly as he could.

Just as his ass was seated, the jingle of the shop opened and in came a familiar face. His glasses hid his expression which contained fury and irritation.

"Where is that bandage wasting machine..." His words were only a breath loud.

Minnie inwardly laughed at Dazai's hurried antics, for she knew whom he was trying to avoid. Just as she was about to shake her head in amusement and join him, she heard the angry bespectacled man from behind her. Her eyes widened, and she turned to face the frustrated blonde.

"Ah, aren't you the woman he dragged here? My apologies.", Kunikida said whilst bowing slightly and showing Minnie his badge. He pushed his glasses up with one finger as he introduced himself, and explained the current situation.

"Ah, I see. Well, we pretty much ran into each other-"

"And that stupid waste of bandages used that as the perfect opportunity to escape important work.", he grumbled whilst glaring at Dazai, who was grinning from his place behind Minnie.

Minnie giggled at the amusing nickname.

"I must say, that's a pretty... accurate description of your partner, Kunikida-san.", she said, grinning at the comedic duo.
