Delilah let out a sigh as she entered the front doors with Damon. The party was in full swing by now, the place filled to the brim with almost the entire town. She’d forgotten how grand the Mikaelson’s mansion could be on its own, let alone decorated to the nines. It looked as if she had just traveled through time and stepped right into one of Jay Gatsby’s parties. The music was blaring from the live band, the current song upbeat and fast. She had to admit it was beautiful, although she still couldn’t believe she was attending prom. She never even went to her own prom. But then again, she was technically working here. She had to find this guy. There had been another girl discovered the day before, forcing her to crack down on finding this guy. If he didn’t show tonight, she’d hunt him down by the time the sun rose regardless.
Damon made a comment about needing to talk to Stefan to which she nodded as he disappeared into the crowd. She made her way over to one of the many bars, ordering a glass of champagne. It wouldn’t inebriate her in any way, but it would hopefully help the nerves fluttering in her stomach. She knew, she could just feel that something big was going to go down tonight. She could only hope she was prepared enough for it.
She turned from the bar and leaned against it, her dress twirling with her. The gold and cream floor length dress was like a modern spin on a flapper dress, her finger wave up-do and red lips finished the whole look off. She leaned against the bar where she had a full view of the room, sipping her drink and watching the crowd around her, scanning it for any signs of danger. The jazzy beat of the band had her swaying slightly to the music. She shifted her features into a smile though when she saw someone approaching her.
