Peggy: How bad is it?
Diana did heard that little voice in her head telling her to turn back to safety before she no longer had that option, but she chose to ignore it. She was smart for Merlin’s sake and it wasn’t like she planned to actually walk into the middle of a fight. Her camera was pretty good so she could take whatever photo she needed from a rather safe distance. There was no need to get close to anything too dangerous so everything was going to work out and she would have a great story. Diana managed to find herself a good hiding spot and would wait for a proper moment. Perhaps hiding between bin bags was not the most dignified place, but at least it wouldn’t be an obvious one to be, or so she hoped. She wasn’t exactly sure how long she spent there, but when she finally heard some fighting nearby, she decided to give it a go. Everything would’ve worked according to her genius plan if it wasn’t for the noise the bags made when she was trying to get out. She quickly looked around, trying to find a new spot to hide in case someone heard her, but there was nothing. “Oh shit,” she could only say when she heard the approaching footsteps and found herself face to face with a Death Eater. Her wand shook in her hand and she knew she fucked up. She probably was no match for a dark wizard, but she wasn’t going to go down without fighting.

Aurora: I promise I didn't do that on purpose but I'm sort of locked inside the Leaky and I probably won't make it for dinner 🤦♀️
While Teddy tried not to worry too much about the Death Eaters, he still considered it a very serious situation. Fortunately their group of aurors was numerous so it was only a matter of time until they captured everyone. Maybe finally they would end up on top and the whole thing would end before it got worse? One could certainly hope.
He wasn’t particularly happy when Will Ashcroft decided they would be partnered up. The older auror had kept a close eye on him since his secret was revealed, even though he pretended like he was not treating him any differently. Teddy thought it was bullshit, but for the time being he decided to keep his mouth shut and have a couple of words with Ashcroft after they were done with their mission. There was no point in arguing when he knew it was only a waste of time and they needed to focus on what was in front of them.
First encounter with a Death Eater ended within a couple of minutes and Teddy felt weirdly optimistic. Maybe things would really end in no time and he would still manage to grab some nice dinner before heading home to his dogs
A loud bang distracted him from his positive thoughts and before Ashcroft could say anything, he suggested splitting up so they could surround the dark wizards. Surely it would all work out, everything was going great so far so why would anything be any different now?
He realised how stupid he was when in front of him there was not one, not two, but three Death Eaters. And Ashcroft hadn’t managed to get behind them yet. He told himself to suck it up, to hold them off until the other auror showed up. He dealt with worse situations, so he would make it just fine.
And he really, truly thought he was winning there for a moment. He easily got rid of one of his opponents, but the other two were clearly more skilled. When Ashcroft finally showed up, he had a scar on his cheek and Teddy understood he only just finished fighting another Death Eater. With Will there, they surely were going to win and he just had to smile at the thought.
He had no idea what happened nor when it happened, but suddenly there was that deafening scream that knocked him down. No, something else knocked him down... And... That was him… Screaming? No, that couldn’t be right. He felt… Pain? His whole body was suddenly on fire and he felt as if he was being torn apart. He couldn’t stop screaming, needing to let it all out. He was shaking and he could feel everything inside him rearranging. Or maybe it was outside?
There was no stopping it and he just… It would end soon, wouldn’t it? One surely couldn’t survive that for long… And Dora... His Dora would never meet him. And he would never meet her. Maybe that was what he deserved for being angry at his parents for not choosing to stay with him? Maybe that was for the best then? At least that way he would never disappoint his daughter.
