Is there anyone taking fanfic requests right now? I have this idea, and I don’t feel like I could do it justice, but I wondered if someone else might be able to.
I know you're working super hard on my other one, but you asked for more prompts, so what can you do with Harry and tacos??? :) Have a great night (or whatever time of day it is where you are)!
Thanks for the prompt broski!! Sorry this one’s a bit shorter than others. Hope you enjoy!
Cisco paced back and forth furiously. Harry stood to the side with his arms crossed, looking frustrated. “Ramon, can we just let this go? You’re overreacting.”
Cisco froze in place, back turned towards Harry, “No, we cannot just ‘let this go,’ this isn’t something that I can just take lightly.”
Harry sighed and rolled his eyes, “listen Ramon, we’re not going to be able to get anywhere with you acting like this. I said one thing, just one simple statement and you blow up like this?”
“Of course I would. After what you said, how could I just drop this and let it go? Harry, you have to understand me here, hard shell tacos are not real tacos. If it isn’t a soft-shell taco, what are you even doing with your life?“
“Ramon, I’m just hungry and I asked you to order some food.” Harry took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. “We’ve been working all day, we don’t even have to get tacos, can we just get something to eat?”
“Not until you admit you were horribly wrong in your hard shell taco choices, Harry.” Cisco stood defiantly with his arms crossed now.
“Listen, I am not going to admit anything. So I like crunchy tacos, what difference does it make?”
“It makes all the difference in the world, man! Soft, warm, corn tortilla stuffed with all that taco goodness, that’s the life. Crunchy tacos just make a mess. There’s no authenticity.”
“There’s no Italian authenticity in pizza or Chinese authenticity in takeout food. What’s the difference?” Harry interjected, finally sitting down, realizing this wasn’t going anywhere any time soon.
“Tacos are different though. If you go to any decent place that sells tacos, you’re getting your tacos in a soft tortilla, either corn or flour. Crap like Taco Bell, that just is an offensive mess. Even the fillings are offensive, ‘taco seasoning’ and ground beef? There’s no love and care in that.”
Cisco continued to go on, pacing now, about how authentic tacos are clearly the superior taco. Harry just leaned forward and put his head in his hands.
“Alright!” Harry stood up suddenly, “alright, you’re right okay? I was wrong. Soft-shell tacos are clearly the superior food. Can we just get something to eat now?”
Cisco stopped stock still and turned with a devious smile on his face, “what’s that you say Harry? I’m right?”
Harry stared Cisco down with a look of sheer exasperation on his face. “This whole thing was just a trick to get me to say you’re right?”
Cisco nodded, “yeah, and it worked too. So, you still want tacos?”
