"So... How would you feel if I stayed here tonight? Nothing funny; we stay in separate rooms. But that way, I can see that you go to bed." She was pushing her luck and she knew it, but there was just too much temptation to call his bluff.

She hasn't picked her plate back up yet, still just enjoying her wine. He seemed a little to eager to get her distracted with the meal again.

It was a dark, foggy night. Surrounded by rotting buildings, on something that once would be considered a part before taken over by overgrown weeds and scrap metal parts, OF and E spent their time in mostly silence. As the younger Rick lights up a cigarette, the amber light casts a glow on his battered features. One eye swollen shut, jaw adorned with bruises, he'd still curse and smile like nothing had happened. Just another Tuesday, as he'd say often.

He hands the cigarette to E, not really questioning their company:

"You smoke?"

E looked annoyed at his phone, but decided to respond anyway.

What do you want? He sent, wondering if his nerves would be pushed further.

With a loud THUD E's whole body met the wall behind him, shoulders first, then his head, which he gently pressed against it.

"Are you crazy?! What do you think you're doing?!"

If looks could kill, K would now be lying lifeless on the floor. E stared into the cyan-blue eyes that were not far from him.

Then SLAM!

As if trying to wake him up, the other person hit him again against the hard surface with the hands that were still gripping his shoulders.

"Have you completely lost your mind?! Let me go!!" E tugged at his opponent's wrists, but that was all. Both frozen in place, they didn't move, only the tension between them remained.

"I should be asking you that! The fuck were you doing last night?! You think you can just wander around my place?!"

Another THUMP.

"AND LEAVE SOME DEAD BODY?!"

Shit. Dead body...? Last night....?

....

He should've seen that coming. FUCK. Why K of all people?!

E tried to stay unphased. "Let go off me! I don't know what you're talking about." The grip on the other's wrists tightened before he pushed K away with a powerful smack on their chest.

K looked mad. REALLY MAD. There didn't seem a way out of this.

"I have surveillance everywhere, E! Don't play dumb."

Oh great. Nope. Of course.... How to get out of this.....

"I-"

"WHAT?" K bit back. "Whatever is gonna leave your mouth better is a good explanation, even though I doubt it."

"I'm sorry."

WHAT. THAT'S IT? SORRY? I'm fucked...

Ok, you gotta do something.

A flash of memory came back that moment and he held his head for a second.

"I.... was hurt..."

"....I didn't mean to leave my mess. It was an accident."
