“THE ICON”

THE ICON is a new kind of flag bearer for sustainable water mobility. 13.15 meters long and with a maximum speed of 30 knots (55 km/h), THE ICON is the pioneer of a new type of watercraft with battery electric propulsion.

The vessel is equipped with a pair of 100 kW electric motors that convert 240 kWh of energy, supplied by six batteries from the BMW i3, into an impressive range of more than 50 nautical miles (about 100 km).

John Balestrieri got Bill Atkinson’s approval to revive the dithering algorithm they used on the original Macintosh. John created a Mac app called Hyperdither, it’s free and you can make cool stuff with it. It’s a cool tool that shows how little information our brains need to fill in the blanks. click the image to see it bigger

Getting caught up on some of my friends best of 2014 lists. I'd kind of skipped over the new E-Craft when it came out, and as I was going through it now I realized Blast Zone bears a striking resemblance to Front Line Assembly's 1992 track Remorse (especially in the refrains)
