Oh sh- I uh mean…yeah! I got a minute E.

The sound of a camera going off and film being disbursed makes E. pause in his reading. What the hell?

He picks his head up, pulling back the curtain of hair to look at G., who's happily taking the film out of the Polaroid and staring at it, no doubt watching the film develop. E. watches him for a bit, dumbfounded.

"Did you just take a picture of me?" he asks, being met with a happy nod. G. flips the picture over to show him. Sure enough, there's E. sitting on the bed, hunched over his open book with his blond hair covering his face. E.'s brows furrow.

"I have pictures of Mary and DD," G. tells him nonchalantly, turning the photo back around to face himself so he can continue to look at it. "but none of you. Thought I'd change that."

"You couldn't have asked?"

"What? So you could pull a stupid face and try to ruin it?" E. just grins. Yeah. That sounds like something he would've done. Still, he goes back to his book, figuring the conversation is over.

"You look good," G. comments as he looks over at him. E. just scoffs.

"You can barely see me!"

"Yeah, but it's you. You're the only one I know that sits like some fucked up shrimp while you read."

E. can't help but bark out a laugh. "Fuck you!"

E. Forcas

The big man looks up, blue eyes half-lidded and unamused. E.'s always been quiet but it's not from shyness like G.. No, if anything, E. just wasn't too social. He had his group of friends and he was happy with that.

You didn't know him like you knew the others. He would greet you, say a joke here and there but ultimately, he would leave you alone.

So when he approached you with that dangerous look in his eye, all you could muster was a polite smile.

"Hej," His voice is calm but low as he stares you down. "You okay with this?"

You nod, surprised he's giving you an option to turn him down. You follow him into the storage room, the door being shut behind the two of you. To your surprise, E. stays by the wall, giving you space.

"Are you sure you're okay?" E. asks you, his accent thick.

"I'm fine. I promise," It's sweet that he's checking in on you. The silence felt awkward in the cramped space and you could hear the soft rustling of E.'s leather jacket as he adjusted himself in the dark room.

"Do you want to play?" Another wave of surprise washes over you.

"Ah... Do you?" You look in his general direction, hearing his jacket rustle again as he (you assume) shrugs.

"Better than standing in here doing nothing," he retorts. You had to agree with him. Standing in the dark was starting to get boring. So you mentally prepare yourself and nod.

"Yeah. Sure." You take a step forward, resting your hands on his chest. He's bigger than the other three. Maybe almost a foot taller than Mary but he had more weight to him. In fact, you remember DD making a joke that E. was the band's personal bodyguard.

His large hand rests on your hip as he leans down, pressing his chapped lips against yours. The coarse hair of his goatee tickles your skin but you don't mind it much. Instead, you press closer to him, enjoying the feel of his bigger body pressed against yours. You feel safe in his arms.

Even when the door opens, E. drags out the kiss as long as he can until he finally pulls back, the stoic expression still on his face.

"I know. Time's up," he grumbles. To your surprise, he keeps his hand on your hip, leading you out and back into the party. It's not something you would complain about, especially when he sits back down and urges you into his lap. His warm body presses against you, holding you protectively as the others give you a way. Maybe you'll try to get to know him better.
