I don’t think Quinn hated either of them so he wasn’t gonna cut JT out or anything, but from his interviews last season you could 100% tell he was on Petey’s side. If I remember correctly he said he was proud of him for dealing with all the bullshit. But he’s never one to publicly speak bad about a teammate

I don’t know if it’s true, but I will say the Cannucks put out multiple stories about this before. If I remember correctly, they mentioned how they weren’t happy with him not taking his training seriously and they basically were making him take time out of his summer to train with them. I know Quinn invited him to come to Michigan and work with their dad and team with a bunch of other players. Elias declined. I have a feeling there is some truth to it because Quinn doesn’t play and I’m sure he took it as Elias not taking the team seriously. Especially given how bad last season was.
